Had to look up Bench Blokz, was so confused when I saw a pic on Amazon, thought how are you supposed to be able to hit that small grove perfectly every time you bring the bar down?! But I'm guessing the block is attached to the bar? No circus skills needed? The photo on Amazon is somewhat misleading, or I'm an idiot... probably a little of both lol.

Ah db rows and facepulls together in a superset, you make me so proud.

It's a little block that you wedge onto the barbell. It's a board press, but you don't need someone to hold the board for you. There are different size grooves on it to simulate different sized boards.

    3x12x106lbs

Have you tried braising meat with it? It's great for chuck roast, beef cheeks, chicken thighs, etc. I like adding canned tomato and dried mushrooms.

I also use it to cook squash and apples.

I'veonly made lumpy mashed potatoes and ground beef in it so far. I read you could pressure cook frozen ground beef so I tried it and ended up with a weird colored lump of meat that didnt crumble.

Is the Insta Pot the thing that can cook rice really quick and boil water in seconds? Those look awesome. I'm not sure how much rice I actually need but the commercial for that rice cooker thing makes me think I need A LOT of rice, right now.

I probably wouldn't use the instant pot for ground beef as it typically cooks quickly. For slow cuts of meat, it's fantastic. It's also good for rice and beans.

It can cook a lot of rice quickly. Not sure about boiling water in seconds, but it's basically a really smart pressure cooker.

If you pre-soak the beans, you can make a lot of rice and beans pretty quickly.

Just finished my first 10k. Not sure on my official time as I don't think the clock was working as I crossed the finish line, but it took me less than an hour. Will update w/ official time + pictures later today.

Chip timed? The ones where they rip off the bottom thing frustrate me. They never successfully rip off the entire thing and I worry they'll miss my results, but they've figured it out so far. Then I wonder what would happen if the person holding that huge keychain of numbers dropped it and they all got mixed up! I'm sure they have a backup plan, but these are the things that haunt me lmao.

It was chip timed. No one ripped anything off the bottom.

If the chip fails, the company has to review the tapes and figure out your time/placing that way.

Oh man, never heard of a chip failing, now I'm gonna be all paranoid about that! Read an article about thousands of people cheating and getting caught in the Mexico City Marathon. All these people apparently missed a bunch of the check point mats and it was discovered people were intentionally shortening the course. A chit ton of people just wanted to get the finisher medal. Blows my mind why you would even want one for a race you didn't complete. I could see one or two people doing that, there are some crazy farks who do stuff like walking through the gas station parking lot naked lulz. But THOUSANDS, wtf man, seems like less effort to just train for the damn marathon and run it properly.

IDK Marathons are a lot of work. They take months of training where as people can just cheat all in one day. There was that one chick who almost cheated her way to a NY marathon win (she took the subway).

Still don't have my official time. I wrote to the chip company today. From what I've read, the error rate is about 2%, so you can expect this to happen for 1/50 runners.

Tuesday's Workout: Max Effort Leg Day

    Warmup: Elliptical, Hip Drills

    Deficit Deadlifts
    5x135, 3x185, 1x225, 1x275, 5x285-ME

    These killed my back, lol.

    Front Squats
    3x6x95

Haven't done these in like a year.

    Reverse Sled Drags
    3x30 yards x50lbs

    These were tough.

    Kettlebell Swings
    3x10x126lbs

The first swing is the hardest.

    Ab Tri Set
    Weighted Crunches, Planks, Deadbugs

Idk how many sets I did. 2 or 3.

Hate deficit deads, I have to do them when I DL at Jay's, because he doesn't have 45's for his bar (they're hard to find in store for standard bars). They kick the crap out of my back.

Great front squats for having not done them in so long!

Great front squats for having not done them in so long!
