I am a beginner in the gym and I have recently researched Intermittent Fasting. What I am currently doing is a full body program 3 days a week and I am eating in a caloric surplus 400 calories above my tdee. I have watched numerous YouTube videos saying that while in the fasting state your human growth hormone gets spiked so it prohibits muscle growth and it also helps burn fat because your body uses it as energy. I am wondering if it is really better than just simply eating meals at any time of the day as long as you are getting a surplus of calories and hitting your macros. Should I start doing fasting to increase muscle growth on a bulk while staying lean? So basically a lean bulk.

IF is a useful tool if you need some structure to your diet and don't want to risk over eating- because it only gives you a certain amount of hours consume your caloric load.
Studies have also shown that it can have beneficial effects on IF1 and Glut4 hormonal response in your body, which are both related to growth hormone. It has also been shown to improve insulin sensitivity. HOWEVER, these findings haven't really been shown to improve performance, or hypertrophy/strength gains. So the correlation may not be related to actual results. But there certainly is no harm in it.
That said, if there are any benefits to this over a 'normal' diet- then they will probably be very minimal. At the end of the day, consuming the right amount of protein and calories is the main, underlying factor that will get you results.

You've made enough treads in recent weeks. From quickly checking your post history, I get the impression that you're constantly doubting what you're doing, even if it was recommended by knowledgeable people on this forum. That's what's keeping you from making decent progress, you don't fully believe in what you're doing and are always looking for fixes for problems that don't exist. Stay consistent and keep it simple.
