    Talking Countdown to fat extinction!

    Hello everyone!!

    After having lurked for a while on this part of BB.com forum, i decided to creat my own fat loss log. I also joined the august to october fat loss challenge, so this log is meant to bring more détails and personal ideas on the journey ahead.


    Background:

    I have been training seriously for two years and a half where i started at 196 lbsand ended up at 145 lbs at my lowest. I didn't had much muscle mass and used broscience to guide me up, so in the end i dropped off the wagon from frustration and fatigue. After a break of 3 years and hiting 230 lbs (YIKES!) I started taking care a bit of myself and went down to 210 lbs. Now since april, i'm more serious with fitness, ajusted foods intake and here I am at 178 lbs.

    The mission:

    The goal of this cut is to reach 165-160 lbs by october 31. From there I'll assess results and will probably head to a clean bulk for the winter (my first one ever!! really excited!).

    The expected troubles:

    I know the places where trouble may arise

    - Family gathering on my GF side:
    Those are usually a call for high fat, high sugar meals, where booze pour from every corner and everyone is feasting like a wild beast...and with me in the corner eating chicken :P The problem that could come up is giving in to the sweet temptation, so I'll be extra carefull!

    - Le GF mindset:
    A shame to say, but my girlfriend is not that supportive when it comes to dieting, wich is strange cause she crave like crazy the ripped look but when I diet down, she always complain that I don't eat the same things as here, that I'm offending here (for waht reason I have yet to find..) and nagging. I take that it may come down to insecurity from here, especially since I started getting more female attention and with time, I learned to cope with here outburst. The problem is that sometimes she gets so aggravated that I might eat things I don't want just to keep the peace. My goal is to hold my ground and propose a meal per week that all the amily will eat. If she get's angry anyways...well we'll ride it

    -General cravings:
    I got this one into pretty thight control, I just need to remember to not eat shot trought the day, or I might as well say **** it and eat my heart out for the rest of the day!

    The plan:

    my plan is simple really: 4 Weight time with 3-4 cardio session of 30 minutes at a good intensity. Food is also reduced to loose weight at a reasonable pace.

    So this wraps up the introduction, I will come by tonight to give you the first real entry of this log.

    DAY 1 RECAP:

    So day 1 is in the box folks!!! Energy was ok all trough the day, until I hitted evening. I felt exhausted, even so that i thought I was going to catch a cold or something. I bet change in routine + back to early morning wake ups + bad sleep paterns since the last few days because of the kids are taking their tolls.

    Woke up this morning much better after a somewhat good night of sleep, so all good.

    Workout: LEGS/DELTS

    Everything went fine at th gym, had a good energy and the focus was there.

    Hack squat: 4 X 90 eah sides (180 lbs total)
    Leg press: 4 X 180 each sides (360 lbs total)
    glutes extention : 4 X 90
    Standing raise calfs: 4 X 280

    Delts:

    Seated barbell press: 4 X 80
    Cables side raise: 4 X 40 each arm
    Bent-over side dumbell raise: 4 X 25 each arm
    Dumbells shrug: 4 X 80

    Time in the gym: 45 minutes

    Food intake:

    As for food intake, macros are not detailed, but I intend to remedy to this and track everything in my fitday account. For the time being, I eat smart, many protein, moderate carbs and low fat ( but enough to hit my macro) . I weight much of my food with a scale, so my numbers are pretty close to accurate. Total cals were 1450, with at least 125 grams of protein. But like I said, I'm going to record macros and post pictures of my fitday tracking for better accuracy

    OVERALL: Day went pretty good, i'm very busy at work this week so time seems to fly by. My workout routine is solidely implented in my day-to-day activities, so I always find the time to work out and eat according to my goals. Enjoyed a great night with the girlfriend and my 2 daughters, went for a shower and jumped in bed early because of fatigue, wich desapointed my girlfriend ( wneted more time together) but she understand

    Back from the sickness -.-

    Hey boys and girls!! long time without an update!!

    I caught a real bad fever, kept me n my back for 3 days straight ! I didn't went to the gym to give me a chance to heal. Food was ok, I kept myself at a slight defecit with increased protein to minimize muscle loss.

    Now that I'm healed up, it's time to march again!

    Going to post my workout + food later today!

    Hey my fellow lifters!

    So like I said got a weird sickness with high fever and aching body for all weekend. Spent it on my back recovering from it so no workout were done. I did kept my calories into the wanted range so fatloss would still occur, but with a body sick, I don't know the mechanic behind it so I guess we'll see at the weight in friday!

    Yesterday was legs and delts..AGAIN! Reason is that I love starting the week with legs! seems to whip me up for the rest of the week ( yeah I know...weird!)

    I decided to throw in some abs in superset with my delts. I always tell myself that I must do some abs but never find any time. Well the time for sorry excuses is gone and i'm going to add abs 2 to 3 times a week in my routine for now on.

    As for food, some adjustements were made. I decided to take a shake of 2 scoops of whey isolate for breakfast, uping my protein intake to 60 grams in the morning, allowing more carbs during dinner to satisfy hunger better.
