Not to be a nit-picker, but the performance line has leather.
SPECIFICATION
Upper Leather: Trieste, high quality calf leather with sailcloth surface, scratch resistant
Lining Material: Premium Caoutchouc core
He mentioned the Tiger, which is also in the performance line.
(In my experience they aren't bad, but it's a very small sample. I have one of their leather straps and it's very good. Pretty soft and all around seemingly good quality.)Last edited by MrJensenn; 01-18-2018 at 12:59 PM.

These pics show how the leather is kind of plastic and thin. This is the same material used in the heavy calf.
These are pics I just had lying around - I can take pics of the heavy calf when I get home. It "chipped" a little bit where the bezel contacted the strap upon installation. A normal leather strap would just scuff - this just scraped off like paint leaving a black undercoat. This account was created for the purpose of roleplaying and satire. Zenith was one of the most prestigious watch companies in the world at one time and made movements for Rolex, etc. They totally lost that position by producing some of the ugliest watches ever made for a long time and other bad decisions. I like the look of that too, so maybe they are trying to make a legit come back. Not crazy about it saying "extra special" but the rest is win.

Zenith is a very reputable watch company. Their designs, as mentioned are hit and miss, IMO. However, I find just about all watch companies have designs that make me want to vomit.
Last year, when I first ran across it, I thought the exact same thing...that it was too big for me. When I put it on my wrist I was still skeptical. I left it on my wrist as we looked at other watches and changed my mind. It's gorgeous.
This year it wasn't in the display case, so I asked the sales guy if they discontinued it. Nope, they just don't keep it out so the new owner can claim the petina is from themselves. They brought out the one I posted and a new Chrono version. Still like the non-chrono myself.
IWC Pilot is also on my short list. In fact, it might come before the ZenithYou don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I know there's plenty of reviews out there but any MWC brahs here use Jomashop before cause I'd love to hear about experiences from brahs I can actually trust.
Got my eye on a Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde and the only dealer within 500 miles of me are a bunch of pretentious *******s.
This is the watch for reference.

I've got the blue dial Le petite version, only watch I've ever owned that has received compliments (pretty frequently too). Probably overpriced tbh, since the movement is a slightly modified eta found in significantly cheaper watches, but it is reliable and can be easily serviced by any competent watchmaker.
I'm very happy with it though, I have a Tudor black bay as a dive watch, so I just need a simple three hander and then I'll be set.
GJDM, looks great

multiple reasons.
open packages, boxes, letters that come across my desk etc.
cut a seat belt if you are in an accident and trapped
cut lose threads that may be hanging off of a clothing article etc.
alot of guys use them to cut food (i dont like this idea caue then you have possibility for food in your pocket, although i have used them in the past (before i really appreciated knives), to open bottles and pry things apart. rookie mistake on my part and thats not what the tools should be used for especially when your spending upwards of 100 bucks on the thing.
Its just a convenience, on top of that their just cool, they fall into a role where its better to have one and not need it then to need it and not have one, especially something like that ZT i posted above, it weighs less than 3 oz. looks cool, runs smooth, has a blade made of super steel (s35vn in this case).
Its a nice knife and can even be a talking point. That particular one is a little murdery but you dont have to have one that looks like that. Its pretty similar to the "why do you need a watch, let alone one that costs that much?" conversation, sure i could pull my phone out every time i need to check the time or glance down at my wrist, but its a fashion item, and a statement for me, its something i appreciate, and something i think is cool. similarly i could go find a pair of scissors or use a mail opener or a box cutter but thats a hassle, and carrying a box cutter or razor-knife looks out of place and lacks elegance. I dont use the knife as much as some guys do, buts nice to know its there.
the third role it plays outside of utility, and pocket jewelry is in the self defense/tactical role if you should imply it in that way. alot of guys carry a gun so that they dont need the knife for that but at the same time if its life or death and all you have is a pocket knife it beats a pen or a coffee mug or a cell phone or any other improvised self defense item you may be able to grab for.

MWWC has really been quiet lately.
Thought Id share some pieces from me, my brother, my dad.
mine
I dont really wear them anymore. Last time I even wore a watch was probably 3 months ago for a friends wedding. I dont wear them daily. My GF just has too much jewelry and it would probably scratch evertime we hold hands. I still like to window shop though chrono24 though and visit the local AD just to see whats theres and chat.Last edited by waisoserious; 02-01-2018 at 07:23 PM.

(He never wheres this, I dunno why he never sold it)
(His white gold nautilus)

My dad's. He doesnt wear watches often anymore either. The last time I saw him wear a watch was half a year ago for our partner's son's wedding. Before that, the last time he wore a watch was probably 5 years ago.
As far as I know he has 3, but I only have pics of 2 of them.
(He also has this 1 in platinum, but still double sealed)

My mother and sister have some watches as well but I dont have pics of them. My sister has a two tone datejust, some chopards. My mom has a few gold rolexes and most recently she bought a rose gold ladies offshore late last year when we went to an AP dinner. It should be here this month or next month.
I think it was a rose gold diamond ladies off shore on rubber. But I do not know the model number.IW3725-04, Black 116520, White 26320
