Hey Barb welcome back.

Made a big batch of waffles this AM. Deadlifting took a lot out of me this week, they always seem to help me bounce back.

Wow..those are interesting stats.
What happened to us?
I as well fell into the non-posting bandwagon. I'm mostly doing home workouts these days, I purchased a dip/pullup machine and been using that in my backyard coupled with amazing stretching exercises I do daily. I'm unhappy with my current state thoug as I have gained some fat and just don't have the will to make it go awaywww.grazethesky.com

I got fat also.
Currently cutting until end of June.
Then deciding if i'll give up trying to cut the rest of the summer and just lift heavy or keep going.
I'm thinking the former since i've taken up All Grain brewing and my brew is starting to come out good.
I got a keggerator on the back porch.
Got 5 gallon kegs of:
Orange Kolsch
Pale Ale
Hard Cider
Lemon Lime wheat
Just waiting for it to get warmer so I can get the keggerator ready.
but it's snowing right now so......
Brewing a standard kolsch this weekend.
Planning a blueberry ale and probably an IPA over the next few weeks.
Also have a gallon of lightly hopped hard lemonade test batch almost done.
oh and i'm dropping 2-3lbs a week which I expect to pick up once it gets warm enough to ride my bike regularly.
So I should be low 190's by end of june.
goal is low 160's so i'd have to cut all summer. don't think it will happen.
THIS TIME i'm not going to say "yay! I did it. now where are the chicken wings and pizza...nome nome nome"
going to actually try to add some muscle while adding little fat.
I aint getting any younger.

all these yrs of listening to that song.
didn't have a clue.

My other friend was starting them and you aren't friends with her so...Last edited by NitrogenWidget; 04-19-2018 at 05:12 PM.

Ha, Vegemite. When I went to aus I had eggs and toast for like 1/2 my meals. There was a bakery right next to my condo and I think it supplies all the restaurants on the street. Amazing bread.

Australia is becoming my second home. But, vegemite on toast is still bleh. I can eat it if thereโs tons of butter, but otherwise, just no.
Iirc, your son lives in Melbourne, right? I was there just a few weeks ago for a wedding. Itโs a cool city. Lots of foodie neighborhoods.Say 'Yes' to new adventures: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=164965561

Been on spread for years crew, checking in. Love when I come online and see you guys are still posting <3
Iโve been hovering between 155-160 for the longest. Seems to be the set point my body prefers. Ideally, I think 145 would suit me better (think Iโve always said that, lol).
Cutting for the summer so will be coming by more often. Hope you all keep posting! Maybe we should do a challenge?

man I'm really frustrated with how complicated bb.com has made it to get to this forum now. It's just ridiculous.
anyway here i am at 192lbs, been steady at 192 for two years now and have maybe lifted in the gym 5-8 times in that time period..i did buy a pullup station and its been in the backyard for that same time, so I do do all types of pullup variations, dips and pushups weekly but that's it. im big into stretching daily and meditation, so that's the majority of my physical activity.
life has been sucking my time dry (all good stuff) so workin out and dieting fall to the bottom of the list but I'd say im still conscious of most decisions I make, and i am conscious of not becoming over weight, even though I realize i could easily lose 20lbs..
i may start posting more and more here as summer hits and I try to get back on the bandwagon..or, i could just give up haha

Alright so I'm going to attempt to quit a bunch of terrible habits I have accumulated over the past 20 years; figured i'd just have a go at it right here in the chat thread since its so dead anyway and maybe I can get some input from other people with similar issues;
My problem is addiction; it's not just substances. anything. I think I just came to the conclusion that I literally have the addiction disease itself. weird to write that. but as i'm trying to balance all these addictions out, i'm realizing that they all have one thing in common: chasing something that internally makes me feel a certain way. that's addiction.
My common addictions that I'm just going to straight up stop all at the same time. These are always daily;
-Caffeine intake: 1 xlarge coffee, 1 soda/day, sometimes an energy drink; this is the only thing I'm going to wither down slowly and get to a small cup eventually before I drop it all together. tossing the soda & energy drinks though.
-Scratch tickest: i spent between 2-8$/day buying 2$ tickets; it's just a habit I've developed over the years. a couple times it's been out of control. it's just a money waster.
-marijuana: yeah great, it's legal in my state now completely; basically i get stoned every day but usually to the tune of a couple hits, but it's still just another addiction.
-alcohol: 3-4x/week; i don't drink in excess but it dont matter. it's still something i think about and something i usually must do. enough of that.
-junk food: probably going to be the hardest thing to drop; by junk food, i'm really referring to processed garbage, high in sugar crap;
Replacements:
-High protein diet, regular natural foods, fruits/nuts/berries etc;
-Exercise daily; more cardio/sports need to be part of my life/ hiking/outdoor events
-Music: devote more time to my instruments and writing music
-Programming: on the verge of applying for my first developers position, need to be spot on.
-Mindfulness: being content with what i have, not going reaching for things to 'feel' different.
Got a long road ahead of me, but this stuff has been on my mind for over 6 months, and lately, daily...guess my brain is telling me something.www.grazethesky.com
