    still holding at 212lbs.

    my pants are looser so I expect the scale to drop this week.
    I got food poisoning I think over the weekend.

    Possibly the buffalo chicken cheese dip I had sat night.
    Spent sunday morning making sounds like a deranged howler monkey giving birth.
    My children's hid behind the couch the sound was so horrible.
    I couldn't even keep water down. so dehydrated.

    My abs hurt today also.

    feel better though and eating again but won't be lifting today.

    I bought some parkay spray butter for airpop to make the salt stick, and toast. Still need a few staple things from grocer. Spent the last week getting mind right, I just don't want to weigh 198 again, no choice really that's all I'm going to get.

    I'm on a new belt loop today.
    My pants require that new loop to stay on my body but i'm not quite yet ready for the next smaller size.

    but since I got sick I actually weight more.
    almost back up to where I started 3 weeks ago.

    I assume i'm holding water after being dehydrated to the point of my muscles cramping up from my bout of food poisoning.
    I still feel a little off and just climbing stairs makes my head spin a little.

    Hopefully tomorrow & can lift and do some cardio.

    Re: jeans....can't stand them. Material is just too restrictive. Beginning to love jeggings / leggings, it's like the socially acceptable way of feeling like you're wearing next to nothing haha. Then there is having to buy bigger waist size in jeans just to fit my cheeks / thighs in now XD. My man has resorted to slacks as well. Everything else tends to look like skinny jeans on him, especially in thigh area.

    @serp...feels good that i finally weigh less than you! Bahaha! How much longer until you are back in the gym?

    @Ejnar...my mom is so tickled that i want to breakdance. She reminded me a million times that her generation came up with it and told me about all the circles they used to have...and how ppl would get booed if they were garbage lol. Sounds like fun times.

    Definely enjoying the loss. I know people say cal in vs. cals out is all that matters and keto isn't superior to reg diet in fat loss, but I am questioning that after this experience and reading studies. Beginning to wonder if I have some level of insulin resistance and if that might partially (if not, totally) explain the progress I'm having. Have been warned about blood sugar levels on a couple occassions in the past. Then there is the fact I am losing more weight eating the same calories sedentary on keto than when I was really active (physical labor job) on a higher carb diet.

    Have been reading Phinney and Volek's book and they talk about how insulin resistant people lost way more fat on a keto diet (compared to low fat / ornish type diet) and even non insluin resistant people lost more fat with keto while significantly improving blood markers. Very interesting. Excited to see where all the latest research being done leads to!

    @Cap very pretty view. Where did you take those? Question: would you ever consider asking a guy out? Maybe you can invite your crush to coffee and enjoy a nice convo with a good looking man a couple times before you head out of town .

    As to your question, not in a contest. Tried to catch one but none were ongoing at the time. I believe I ended OBF around 141lbs down from 160lbs after 18 weeks...am 151lbs but leaner than I ended that contest! Don't remember ever seeing my ribs this well in the 150s...and still 5 weeks left. Wouldn't it be something if I have more progress in less time and less activity with the same cals?

    Just checking in again, still sick and been busy busy. Hopefully my airways and lungs recover soon so I can get back on GVT, half arsed PPL routine feels wimpy compared to the GVT.

    More or less mentally burnt out from 5 years of strict calorie counting, and paired with the injuries it was making me incredibly unhappy, going to the gym was a chore because it was causing more pain and i didnt make progress for a long time due to injuries, was effectively spinning my wheels. Cant afford it atm since i have to put money into my car but will need to because its the only way to rehab my lower back, i have a barbell but no weights at home to fix the issue :l

    Hair ain't as long as it used to be, I miss it long tbh, so tempted to grow it again, plus I've added another sleeve since I had it long, originally had just the one Japanese themed sleeve, started my other arm now, got a Valkyrie, a wolf, a kraken, a skull & some black eyed susan & nightshade flowers added in, it's long from finished, needs more line work, shading & colour adding in, hopefully will have some more work this side of Christmas.

    4lb drop in water weight over night.
    Guess i just needed some electrolytes since water wasn't hydrating me like it should.

    I'm on ~1500 cals daily also.

    after 3 weeks I no longer notice i'm basically eating the same thing daily.
    greek yogurt
    quick oats with brown sugar/splenda mix
    chicken with hot sauce & bag of steamer veggies with/without cheese sauce separately.
    bag of steamer veggies with cheese sauce with a chopped up chicken breast mixed in.

    chicken or turkey burgers on 100 cal pita pocket or wrap with some cheese & hot sauce.
    Whey to fill in the protein because after 3 weeks it's a chore to eat large portions of food.

    I should join one of the motivation threads but honestly i'm so damn busy with work & projects at home i'd forget to log in.
    so i'll just keep popping up in here from time to time.

    Switched back onto a 3x5 variation of strong-lifts with 2 accessory exercises added onto the end of each workout, been struggling the last 2 weeks on the 531 routine with the BBB lifts & also some additional lifts on this cut, the volume work was sapping my energy.

    One of the accessory exercises I've added in at the end is a plank, so done those Long Lever Posterior Tilt Planks !!! 3 sets at 30 second holds each, they are a killer
