So I get to fix that, on my back or stomach because the height there is about 10 inches at the end where I need to put down new boards to fix it. While rolling around in insulation.

Absolutely nothing beats rolling around in this stuff, especially when its old, dusty and loose so the glass pierces you everywhere.

Its the Donetsk international airport that was destroyed a while back. Even after that airliner was shot down over Ukraine the media has done a pretty good job downplaying the war. Most people don't have a clue what is going on over there.

For example how much have you heard about the crematory trucks driving around destroying the bodies of the foreign fighter so their identities cannot be traced back to their Russian funding?

Have you heard a single US new outlet make any mention Budapest Memorandum? I have heard it mentioned once so far and that was only on the B B C.

EDIT TO ADD: take the spaces out of B B C and BB.com sensors it, hilarious.

No, I haven't heard any mention of it. I'm looking around in the religion and politics section for a main Ukraine/Russia thread in which in-depth discussions of these issues most likely take place http://forum.bodybuilding.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72 ...hold on. I'm still looking. And that's censored for an idiotic reason, lol. It has to do with another meaning for that acronym.

Edit: I'll have to put that search aside for now.

I don't mind insulation when it's a new build or plenty of space to work with, but absolutely hate it when you have to roll around in the crap.
Just realized on the pic that the truss web is about the same space as I had to work with (at the far end), barely had enough space to roll around onto my back.

But on the bright side, the air channel on one side is done, walkway flooring done, 2/3rds of the insulating done, downlight insulation guards been changed (apart from 1, silly electrician forgot 1 box) changed them since I had lethal cardboard boxes before. Now I just need to get the rest of the insulation done, put down some quick flooring to store all our crap on and fix the air channel on the other side and done!

    Morning!

Znik I don't envy you. I hate projects. Hate them. I have a bit of anxiety and OCD so anything that upsets my calm and normal routine is upsetting to me. My kitchen is dated (functional but dated) and I am not going to update it at all. LOL Unless I have enough money to pay someone and leave for a few months and come back when it's done. Which I don't so it stays.

I even had trouble when we did the driveway. it was concrete strips and stone and shells and a mess....it was torn up and tar put down...took only a few hours but I had to leave. LOL

Today is lifting for me. Getting a hair cut and some odds and ends and my phone answering job at night. The highlight of that is on the way home I pass my favorite icecream place and get a kidde cone with jimmies....It's become my Friday night thing.

You would not survive up in the attic atm, it's a total mess up there. Tools, insulation, wood, wiring stuff etc. all over the place since it's been randomly moved/thrown around to get to the downlight cases etc.

i think my little spreadsheet is working again.

beautiful day. i might head to the beach this evening. i'll get to the footage that i meant to post eventually. i have to cut it down.

i feel weirdly disconnected for a variety of reasons. one - i'm visiting family at a summer rental off and on and once again, there's no internet or cable there. an old family friend let us borrow a brand new 17" tv that she never uses, and with an antenna it pics up a handful of stations. two of those are duplicates. just nbc, abc, cbs and one channel that plays crime-related reality tv, another channel that plays old movies and another that plays 21 jump street and hill street blues, shows like that... ask me anything about cbs shows that i've never seen before. no pbs comes through.

i didn't even know until a week or two ago that priyanka chopra was going to star in a tv series over here...

on the old movie channel i saw one actress playing a slinky character and holy gawd did she have the perfect body. perfect ratios of everything. took me a min to realize i was looking at Jane Fonda. the movie was "Walk on the Wild Side"

I remember working with insulation before, and it got my skin all itchy for the rest of the day. I guess it depends on the type of insulation you have up there.

Best of luck with the repairs.

I used a dust mask , sometimes. Does that count ?

It's the recycled glass/fiberglass kind, so yep it's itchy as hell and causes all those micro-cuts, we pretty much only use two types of insulation over here and it's the glass kind and rockwool.

I would assume that using a mask is highly recommended, because you wouldn't want to inhale this stuff...

As far as skin is concerned, I remember getting little cuts on my skin, on the unprotected areas - even without touching the insulation, because it carries through the air once you move it around. I only worked with this stuff twice (I think). The second time around, I almost wore a scuba diving suit.

im terrible when it comes to protecting myself when working around stuff like insulation, using power tools, and the like.

i only recently started wearing a mask (a motorcycle helmet, actually), when i was using an angle grinder on some cast iron the other day. frankly, the only reason why i did was because i was pulling black gunk out of my nose for two days when i ground the same metal before.

I hate can lights, worst idea ever. Outlet box and a surface mount track light so much easier to, install, service, repair.

I have three cans I changed out to all in one LED trims. Pretty good fit and they seal up and look much cleaner. Plus hopefully don't have to mess with them for a while.

On the 4th we were getting some stuff at Target and they had TimTams. Picked up 2 bags, my MIL finally got to try the TimTam slam Melbourne style corner bites for max milk retention

Don't let the ladylike thing fool you, you get better liquid retention with a small bite.

Absolutely nothing beats rolling around in this stuff, especially when its old, dusty and loose so the glass pierces you everywhere.

^ not my attic , random pic.
Coming from somebody that works in the HVAC field, You will never know peace from the hundreds of fiberglass splinters crunching in your forearm as you lay it on your desk moving your mouse. You can get it out but be peppered to scrub with a rough sponge for several minutes straight until 5 layers of skin gets rubbed off.

Cold/Hot showers get like... 70% of it out.

It's fine to be inhaled, gets broken down easily in your body. But I do use dust masks usually because I hate the throat itching.
But yeah it does fly through the air and causes itching even if you are not close to it.

I am pretty good at remembering to use eye protection, but that's about it. Usually can't be arsed with more because it hinders movement etc. I am pretty used to the insulation, if you build houses over here you get used to it fast because we have a ton of insulation in the walls/roof etc. usually at least 2 cross layers.

A shower usually sorts it out for me, might take a day or two if I have been digging in insulation to get it out of the forearms.

When I worked as a Pharmacy Tech...we would recommend this all the time. It draws out splinters and fiberglass particles.

I made it through work. It's soooo hot in there....all the woks are on full blast and fryolators and 2 big ovens for ribs....full heat and one gigantic fan to blow around all the heat. In the winter I have to wear long johns and 4 shirts because there is also no heat but sadly, the ovens do not keep me warm in the winter. Fun!

Anyway...today is a cardio day for me (1 hour LISS) and I have a graduation party to go to. And it's sunny so I'm going to sit outside and try to reestablish my tan.

Shesh, really starting to struggle now. CNS feels totally fried, recovery is like non-existent, strength loss increasing and feel like utter crap. Yesterday I fell asleep on the couch for 4 hours , woke up felt like crap had some carbs and then went to bed and slept for another 12 hours and I am normally a 6-8 hours sleep max type.

But on the bright side I am getting middle abdominal veins, quad veins, muscle separation and hints of striation in my face/jaw/cheek along with a new tendon visible when I tighten jaw. Doesn't feel worth it at all though.

Seriously tempted to give up, but on the other hand I want to keep pushing through it so I never have to drop this low again, ever. Just want to reach extremely low single digits once.
