    Losing Fat While Recovering?

I am going to be going under the knife to have my ACL reconstructed and both menisci repaired in 10 days. I am wondering as to the ability to lose weight while going through the recovery process. Should I do anything specific or is this a bad idea in general?

Personally I would just concentrate on rehab and getting the knee back to 100%. I would not go under maitenance while your body is spending energy to repair its self. IMO trying to cut while rehabbing from such a serious injury is just asking for trouble one way or another. I could be wrong but I would not take any chances.
