    is it genetics or is there something else going on? brb doctor says ur completely healthy. ok jeff

    for example this girl i know she worked from 8 till 2pm today then went to the gym from 3 till 5. then got back at 5 and prepared her dinner. now its 7-8pm and shes ready to go pre-party and hit a club. then comes back at 3-4am and has class tomorrow at 9am

    mind=blown how people can do this

    when i look at her she is never tired. GOAT skin. doesnt look like shes aging at all.

    I pondered that too and found out it's about introvert/ extrovert personality.

    If you're an extrovert, you tend to feed off the energy off the people around you and keep going and going based on that.

    If you're an introvert, you get depleted when you're around people. They're like energy vampire.Your only way to re energize is by being by yourself.

    It's not necessarily one or the other, some people are a bit of both of course.

    Wish I was one of those people who could feed off the energy of others day in and day out, I would get alot more done.

    This might sound counter-intuitive but the more active you are, the less tired you feel. We humans have this tendency to think our mood precedes our behavior but science shows consistently that you are what you do, not what you feel like. Have you never had one of those days where you just don't feel like working out but then you start working out and it feels great and you think to yourself "What was I thinking?".

    Also, check for sleep apnea.

    I can't do that much but..

    I wake up at 3a to run and some some calisthenics around my house. I cook breakfast and do small chores around my house before leaving for work. I get to the gym around 3:30p each day and workout for 60 - 90 minutes and am usually in bed by 7:30 - 8 each night. A good nights rest, and healthy diet do really go a long way. I also don't drink any coffee or caffeine at all throughout my day.

    Have a sleep study done. I was sleeping "enough" too, but I didn't realize that it was poor quality sleep until I had a sleep study and fixed the underlying issue.

    I noticed that some people with poor sleeping habits and diet are still able to be high energy (no drugs)...It's definitely a genetic trait. Meanwhile I'm on the go, just like your co-worker but visibly haggard and exhausted.

    My brother and my best friend are like that. They are not stop, always have something planned to do, they are not happy if they are not busy or have some project that are planning to do. It means they are very productive but it comes at a cost.

    Both my brother and best friend have a tendency to burn out and so are susceptible to illness. They have to make sure they have some down time, which is hard for them. Their minds need constant stimulation, they get bored easily and their minds just race with ideas, they have a tendency to over think things and both have trouble sleeping.

    most of the stuff I have.. but when I got to the part that said : Some people who have iron-deficiency anemia develop restless legs syndrome (RLS).     Eh, I agree with some of the above posters, age, personality, and drugs "stimulants such as caffeine and aderal are not to be underestimated" but in the end some people are just able to go on less sleep. My pops has only slept a few hours every night since before I was born and usually starts working around 3am till around 7pm then goes out drinking usually with a friend or two, doesn't get home and get to sleep till usually around 11pm...then starts it all over. Besides the occasional nap he puts people like me to shame on the amount he gets done everyday and hes 65 lol

    I have the same problem as your brother and friend. Something that used to work for a while was to schedule almost everything mentally. Nowadays I just go with the flow and do something productive instead of tossing and turning in bed trying to sleep and staying up til 4 or 5 am. It usually takes around 30 hours before I feel sleepy but I work at home and can just take a nap when that happens. Sleeping during the day feels good. Wake up feeling light as a feather and better than ever.

    Here's a general guideline for you OP.

    - Drink 4L of water /day
    - Sleep no less than 6 hours /night (7 1/2 - 8 is optimal for cognitive function)
    - Meditate to relieve most of your stress. (A good form of meditation is just to picture what muscles you're trying to contract in the gym.)
    - Make sure you get a good amount a vegetables in your diet. (You can just buy a bunch, toss them in a blender and drink that chit like a boss every morning)
    - Get at least 100g of protein in your diet /day. (Try to get it from lean meats, eggs, fish, etc. Minimize dairy)
    - Do some form of a cardio workout for 20 minutes every day.
    - Stretch and foamroll lots. By lots I mean as long as you have to. I sometimes foam foll and stretch for an hour.
    - Lift, lift, lift.

    I don't wanna go into too much detail. Do these things and you will feel like superman in 3 weeks. If you're feeling sluggish after doing these things I would say the problem is you're not getting enough carbs to compensate for your energy output. Make sure you get at least 75g of dietary fat /day.
