I dont but here is some testing discounts:
Palo Alto
1) PCCSA
2) PCNSA
3) PCNSE
Use the code PANWOP50 for 50% off (can be used on all tests)
Use the code PANW50WEB for another 50% off (can be stacked with the above mentioned code, but can only be used once)
So you can do one certification for free, and the other two are 50% off.

Hey, checking in after a four year break from Misc and getting involved with relevant crews. Messaging Security Engineer here - specialist with DMARC, DKIM, SPF, MTA-STS, DANE, DNSSEC. Moment of fame was contributing to RFC8617.
If your orgs haven't implemented DMARC - encourage them to do so. Happy to be a resource.
Nice to be back.Last edited by Thorsson7; 05-15-2020 at 05:30 AM.

Looks like I'm slowly phasing out of IT. This year I got my PMP, CSM, and Master's in Information Systems, and I think my last cert will be AWS Solutions Architect because I set that goal for myself.
I've done mostly IT Project Management for software since I completed undergrad 5 years ago. I'm slowly being pushed up to more Program and Portfolio type roles that are more business focused. I may phuck around and become a consultant next year, interesting times.

can anyone help me with this tech problem i have with my computer. tried asking on reddit but no answers.
basically randomly my computer fails to read one of my hard drives. but if i restart the computer with luck, it can read it. then i think later on throughout the day it'll be unable to read again randomly.
the only thing i remember doing before it started happening was uninstalling the epic games launcher.
so basically if i click on file explorer, and i click on that hard drive. it just keeps hanging and searching for whatever is inside the hard drive.
this is the error i get: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device errorLast edited by 2RDEYE; 05-28-2020 at 08:47 AM.

Hope you have a full backup of that drive. It could be as simple as a loose cable connection or the drive is failing, the logic board on the drive is going bad or mechanical failure(if not an SSD), pins on the drive or connection to motherboard is dirty/dusty, bad sectors etc. Do you have any diagnostic software you can run on the drive or chkdsk? Have a backup BEFORE you do anything!

Backup first before you do anything. If this is just a data drive(no Operating system is installed) it will be easy to backup files to another drive. I usually have an internal and external drive as backup. The external drive travels with me, so if my PC would get stolen, catch fire etc i have an off site backup

Pull it and connect it as a secondary drive via USB. Should be able to see the contents of the drive there. Or run a bootable OS like Knoppix or something. It'll load an OS on your drive from the disk or flash drive. It should load up your data as well and then you can do a quick backup of your gay porn.
If none of this works then you are phukked.**Texas Crew**

Late reply, but don't worry about it brah. As long as you're expanding your knowledge that is what really matters! Personally I've never given too much weight to certifications. I know they're useful, but the knowledge you gain from studying for a cert is more important.

So, I went on vacation and when I came back to work, I found out my job title changed. Now, I'm a Systems Administrator IV. Nice raise came with it as well. I had no idea this was going to happen but I'll take it.

Cabling management
This is way beyond me (I'm a software guy) and Googling has had limited success... I've got my computer on a metal desk (actually a Craftsman workbench) and I want to route the cabling (power, Ethernet, USB, HDMI, possibly Firewire) properly. There are places for bolts and hooks on the sides, so I got the power strips up off the floor. For routing cabling along the back, I was thinking of using magnetic hooks instead of drilling holes. The question I can't get a good answer for is if this will affect data signals at all. I'd use separate hooks for power and data cables. The magnets seem to be pretty strong (one hook can hold up to 30LBs) so my concern is the field could interfere with data signals, or the crosstalk from the cables could make for problems. None of my patch cables say they're STP, so I assume they're all UTP. I have no idea what shielding (if any) USB, HDMI or Firewire have. Insight is appreciated!
