    Im officially done working warehouse jobs. I start community college in August for cyber security. Thought about doing a computer science degree but I dont think im smart enough for that. Should have done college years ago.

    If you want to start programming and lack confidence, I'd highly suggest starting with Python. IMO Python is by far the most forgiving language that's still useful to know.

    Guys I've been slacking on my certs. I thought COVID lockdown/wfh = getting all my certs but I did not end up getting anything and half the year is done

    Anyone one the same boat?

    Late reply, but don't worry about it brah. As long as you're expanding your knowledge that is what really matters! Personally I've never given too much weight to certifications. I know they're useful, but the knowledge you gain from studying for a cert is more important.

    Mainly doing it for myself brah. To learn as much as I can. Learning is fun and certifications give me discipline. It's never been for employers that I pursue them. I wanted to get RHCE because I needed to prove to myself I'm ok with Linux stuff, did/doing AWS certs because it forces me to see things in a difference way than legacy IT. I wanna go for OSCP because..why not, hacking is fun. etc.

    +1 on this. The real gain you receive is the actual studying part of it. The test is just a test IMO.
