The work of a data scientist does not end there. A data scientist must be acquainted with analytical skills, statistical knowledge along with machine learning and data mining. They must also be well experienced with coding and algorithms. In addition to these, the scientist visualizes data models to help the organization illustrate the business values in a digitized form. I dont but here is some testing discounts:
    Palo Alto
    1) PCCSA
    2) PCNSA
    3) PCNSE

Use the code PANWOP50 for 50% off (can be used on all tests)
Use the code PANW50WEB for another 50% off (can be stacked with the above mentioned code, but can only be used once)
So you can do one certification for free, and the other two are 50% off.

Hey, checking in after a four year break from Misc and getting involved with relevant crews. Messaging Security Engineer here - specialist with DMARC, DKIM, SPF, MTA-STS, DANE, DNSSEC. Moment of fame was contributing to RFC8617.

If your orgs haven't implemented DMARC - encourage them to do so. Happy to be a resource.

    Nice to be back.

Looks like I'm slowly phasing out of IT. This year I got my PMP, CSM, and Master's in Information Systems, and I think my last cert will be AWS Solutions Architect because I set that goal for myself.
I've done mostly IT Project Management for software since I completed undergrad 5 years ago. I'm slowly being pushed up to more Program and Portfolio type roles that are more business focused. I may phuck around and become a consultant next year, interesting times.

Yeah man, I made some huge changes as well. I'm in more of a Developer Relations (Dev Rel)/Cloud/Developer Advocate type of role now. I wish you the very best on your journey! It'll be exciting to hear about.

    Hey squad,

Looking to do some more general security starts and branching out of messaging. Thinking Sec+ or SSCP should be fairly straightforward based on experience so far. Any opinions on which one is a better foundation?

You cant go wrong with SEC+. Its been around for a while, recognized, and if you want to get a job working on US Gov equipment it is required. SSCP is good too, you will also see how ISC2 does their testing. Both are good choices.

Where I live, I go on Glassdoor or Indeed to search programming jobs and I only see a few dozen results.

can anyone help me with this tech problem i have with my computer. tried asking on reddit but no answers.

basically randomly my computer fails to read one of my hard drives. but if i restart the computer with luck, it can read it. then i think later on throughout the day it'll be unable to read again randomly.

the only thing i remember doing before it started happening was uninstalling the epic games launcher.

so basically if i click on file explorer, and i click on that hard drive. it just keeps hanging and searching for whatever is inside the hard drive.

this is the error i get: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error

Hope you have a full backup of that drive. It could be as simple as a loose cable connection or the drive is failing, the logic board on the drive is going bad or mechanical failure(if not an SSD), pins on the drive or connection to motherboard is dirty/dusty, bad sectors etc. Do you have any diagnostic software you can run on the drive or chkdsk? Have a backup BEFORE you do anything!

Backup first before you do anything. If this is just a data drive(no Operating system is installed) it will be easy to backup files to another drive. I usually have an internal and external drive as backup. The external drive travels with me, so if my PC would get stolen, catch fire etc i have an off site backup

Pull it and connect it as a secondary drive via USB. Should be able to see the contents of the drive there. Or run a bootable OS like Knoppix or something. It'll load an OS on your drive from the disk or flash drive. It should load up your data as well and then you can do a quick backup of your gay porn.

If none of this works then you are phukked.
