I'd like to compete this year and have a question regarding Men's Physique Attire.
Are there certain rules and required length or fit for the shorts worn for Men's Physique comps?
I have weak calves, but decent hams/quads, and I'm hoping to wear more fitted, shorter shorts to show that I have decent legs. Regular board shorts would hide the upper legs but still show my calves of course.

The shorts are supposed to go to the knee, but not far below the knee. I've seen plenty of guys wear a little higher shorts to try and show off the quad, but from my experience the judges don't care for physique.
It's all about progress, not perfection.
