MusclePharm Hardcore Series Gainz and Arnold Bar Review

Taste: 10/10 (both)
So normally I'm not a fan of fruit punch flavored supplements, but Gainz wasn't overly flavored and had a nice pleasant taste. It's easy to sip on, and isn't chunky or chalky at all. The frosted cinnamon bun muscle bar was really good, probably one of my new favorite protein bars. The outside had a frosted coating and inside the bar was smooth and moist, with a very nice apple cinnamon taste. I love cinnamon buns so I knew I would probably enjoy the bar a lot.

Besides taste its hard to give an accurate rating for much else. The protein bar had 30g of both protein and carbs, fats seemed a little high at 16g. I would have liked to not see soy protein or vegetable oils on the ingredients, but that seems pretty standard these days. I really liked the formula for Gainz, especially since it wasn't proprietary. It's basically a mix of BCAA's (4:1:1 ratio), glutamine, beta alanine, creatine hcl, and black pepper fruit extract for post workout nutrition. I usually don't get DOMS or too much soreness, but Gainz did seem to help after my workout. I take beta alanine daily, so it was nice to have 2g of it covered by Gainz. Overall it seemed like a very well put together post workout supplement.

Gainz: 10/10
Arnold Muscle Bar: 9/10
