You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

York USA Plates Older
I have some old york USA olympic plates. I dont know what they are worth and was wondering if you could shine some light on them for me. I bought a bunch of them off of an older gentlemen who had kept them in his basement dry and safe for about 30-40 years. Please just let me know! Thank you! I attached a picture.

Looks like unmarked (1940's) change plates and split sleeve bar for sale in Missouri, but it could just be a bad photo and they're actually milled (5s, 10s, 25s).

I'm new to vintage York dumbbells, but I think I'm off to a pretty good start.
I didn't have a single vintage York dumbbell until 3 1/2 weeks ago. I responded to a month old post on Offerup back in December and didn't expect a response. The seller unexpectedly sent me a message in mid February asking if I was still interested. I ended up getting 1220 lbs. of dumbbells for $35. About 750 lbs were vintage York's and I was hooked. I've since added to the collection through a bit of searching marketplace, and some luck.
I'm trying to restore them when I get any free time, but I'm in the process of putting together a gym in the basement so it's been a slow process. Hopefully I'll learn a lot by reading through this board.

After my last two finds I now have an extra 75, 65, 40, and pairs of 35 and 30. I've been buying and flipping since early December and have spent on just that stuff $1735 and sold stuff for $1685, but I've got to keep a lot of the items that I really wanted and still have more to sell. Of that total $600 was for 625 lbs of dumbbells this week, and 575 of that were vintage York's.

I have a York 32 mm Power Bar, part number 32120, in Black Oxide.
Also have a collection of fourteen 45 lb plates, of which four of them are classic deep dish York plates. Been thinking o sandblasting them and repainting them.

I bought them almost 20 years ago from a local company that sells commercial gym equipment. A guy I knew from my gym worked there. I bought them used. My sister's ex-husband had them for a few years and he re-painted them at some point before I got them back.
I'm not sure they're anything special?Insta: flexjs

Yes, Lisa has an Ohio bar, I rarely use it. I love the York 32mm bar for squats and bench.
There is literally Zero whip in this bar. Nothing. When I go to a commercial gym and use a generic bar for squats it starts flopping around on my back when I get heavy on squats. Fecks me up.
The whip is not an issue (unfortunately) for me on bench but I like the thicker 32mm bar more than the 28.5mm Rogue Ohio bar. That's just preference, but I have big mitts.
The knurling is not crazy aggressive. It's just ok.
Only thing I don't like about it is the oddball weight of 52 lbs. But I use micro 1 lb plates on each side and my collars weigh 1 lb to get an even 55 lbs.
For deadlifts I have a Texas Deadlift bar. That is a whole different ball game.Insta: flexjs
