Just picked up some 45lb plates and I'm trying to date them. I'm fairly certain that they were made between the late 60s and late 90s but I'm struggling to find much info beyond that. I know at some point they added the copyright (R) - anyone know when that was?

JFC, I can't post images or links apparently. Take the two spaces out of each of these to see the pics:

    Looking good.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Can't do it via mobile unless I go to desktop view, which wasn't obvious. Thanks for the tip.

SUPER rare, think the last pair I saw was going for $2500 or something LOL

Scrubbing pad and some WD-40 rust remover would work nicely

They're junk, nobody likes to lift with 35s. You can just use 25s and a 10. I'll take 'em off your hands for you.

I actually had that bookmarked awhile back, but it's mostly just a brief overview and I figured the avid collectors could shed some more light on the specifics.

The 35's are highly desired, I'm sure you have already received PM's with offers from potential collectors.

If not, I'd put those badboys on eBay with a $1,500 min and watch that price skyrocket.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Do tell. I found one with ~550 members and sent a join request, but not sure if that's the one you mean.

Reasonable even pre-COVID in my area. Larger sizes always went for more here.

Seems reasonable considering some muppet is asking $475 for a pair of hundreds near me.

I don't think anything is wrong with that price, I bet they'll be sold within a week. Though If I saw a pair for $300 near me I would've scooped it up immediately. Most people have to be quick and travel long distances to get finds like that.

Agree on the $300. I would have snagged them at that price, and kept them even though they'd collect dust on my rack.

At $2.37/lb, thats pushing it. Ive watched 80s thru 90s at $2/lb sit for months now. As much as I want them, I cant bring myself to spend $2/lb. Would probably be different if they would get a lot of use.

Darn, I should have acted earlier. it was sold by the time I read your replies.

I hesitated because I am far from lifting 100lbers, so these would have sat unused.

    will keep looking.

    appreciate the replies
