I get a kick out of it, too. People buy stuff like packaged waffles from there that look like generic eggo's but because they say "organic" on them people pay 2x the price

One of the best establishments to encounter some very attractive women of all ages and all walks of life; Asian, Black, Caucasian, Latina, of all ages. The WFs that are near gyms are especially the best, you see them in the store walking around in their gym attire, those yoga pants and flip flops... olawd. Every. Day.

Sure but that doesn't mean that eating "clean" will make you live to 150. If you're fortunate you will live to 70/80 but if you're not and your genetics say so you could die much sooner. Ie genetic diseases
People have eaten food way cleaner than what you get at these fancy supermarkets, and they still faired badly.
I'm not saying eat garbage, but organic food is Unnecessary .
The air we breathe is no good either. There is no escape. Accept that. You're organic foods can't save you.Last edited by sloppybooty; 05-06-2015 at 04:44 PM.

My dad has 8-10 chickens so I have a steady flow of legit yard eggs. Occasionally mix them with store bought if my stash gets low but not a big deal.
I'd be curious to see how his eggs compare to yours. The shell should be noticeably stronger and yolk a lot darker/richer yellow.**Georgia Crew**

Whole foods is the most well known grocery store of it's kind, but not necessarily the best.
I agree with everyone saying to buy local. If you have a farmer's market in a town nearby, a CSA you can join, or a local farmer you can buy from direct it's your best bet. They sell 18 free range eggs for about $4 at a local place y me. Ive been to the farm and gotten my own eggs from the nest boxes, other places can say free range but it's tricky labeling. It basically means they are in the same poultry houses that other hens are, they just leave the door open. Doesn't mean they go out.
Honestly though, you can buy some laying hens real cheap and they are so easy to care for, you just need a small back yard and in 6 months or so they start laying and you get the freshest eggs always.
Also organic is good and all, but non GMO is actually much more regulated. I wanna say that for a usda organic certification they come certify you once, then what you do after that is all you whereas with non GMO things are tested much more frequently and held to a higher standard. (In terms of labeling a lot of eggs claim vegetarian diet, organic feed etc, which doesn't mean a whole lot)
And chickens will eat basically anything. I knew a woman who's small kitten got in her orpingtons pen and they all pecked it to death, dead srs.Mcfroyo crew

I hate to break it to you guys but just because they are free range or cage free doesn't mean they are frolicking in a pasture eating grass and bugs. They only have to be let out a certain amount of time a day to qualify as free range. Most of the day they are crammed together in a house while they next house has its outside time. Also cage free isn't that amazing. Every piece of chicken you buy from the grocery store was cage free, they were raised in houses. If you want the real deal you have to go to a local grower.

You're right in that the criteria for free range & cage free can easily be infringed upon because the rules are very lenient. However, unless you have the first hand experience to speak on behalf of every farm who promises cage free hens' eggs, you are babbling. And the whole bit about every chicken being raised in "houses not cages" is ignorant enough to render your whole post merit-less.
Time to pipe down bud.
Eat well, lift and stay positive.
