Awww, thanks Mel! <3
Oh yeah, we had pumpkin pie, had pumpkin pie for days! I know there's a Christmas song about "figgy pudding" I don't know wtf that is but it sounds awful. If they called it "badass fudge with sprinkles pudding" I'd be all about it lol.Did you have pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving?
I always make one for xmas dinner because traditional English xmas pudding is a bit yucky really
Lol I'm over here housing pizzas as fast I can because I feel like I'm gonna starve to death. Probably gonna hit up Papa Johns again tomorrow! I'm like a hungry zombie only I'm going after carbs and cheese.

I ran 3 miles this am and it was gorgeous!!! We ran in the towpath and it was covered with snow, with plenty falling!!!!
Oh...and the location for the Ohio Spartan Sprint has been set! It is in Garretsville OH! My hubby grew up in Garretsville, it's only about 30'ish minutes from my home!!! It is at a place called Southington Off Road park! If you decide to do it, you are more than welcome to stay overnight at my house. I plan to register for the Sunday 6/3 start in the morning start block of 8:45 - noon. I'm sure some of the other members from my gym will do it too, especially since it is so local to us. DO IT!!!!!

Short, easy workout today. I need to get a run in soon. We had a snowstorm yesterday so everything's still a mess, can't see where you're stepping. I don't want to trip over a fire hydrant lol. *19 degrees, dark, 6" of snow from storm
Snow run of death! We had a snowstorm again last night with about 6" here. I ran in my neighborhood and only about half of everyone cleared off their section of sidewalk so a lot of this was running in deep snow. Very hard, slow, and icy. I'm not sure if there's a better way to run when it's that crappy out. I haven't seen anyone else out so I have no point of reference lmao. And no, I'm not willing to run on a treadmill. Start that chit and I might as well start knitting and hugging children, ew, farking gross! I shall run outside in battle conditions like a majestic beast as I curse the icy pavement, RARRWWW!!! Oh, I have cross country spikes, maybe I should try those. BOOM - Ham everywhere.
Also, about one out of every ten people who orders furniture, mattresses, and big screen tvs actually clear off their steps/porch/driveway after a snowstorm for us to deliver that stuff, srs. We still have to take it up there no matter what, so that's a trick hauling stuff up there and trying not to fall down someone's snow covered stairs. It's always been that way, so not surprising I guess, just more of a confusing thing since people know in advance we're coming over. So in addition to the running today there was plenty of mountain climbing - brb whipping out my ice picks and those shoes with the claws in them as I have a couch strapped to my back.Current PRs:

Such craziness, running in that snow. Also sounds fun. I'd rather run or walk in it then drive but no worries about that down here.
Or wait, the craziness is what people have delivered. We don't have to carry to doors but for some reason they decided this year to do fedex drop-off and pick-up at the store. Cause local pharmacy makes sense to go pick up random boxes mailed. We had someone get a furniture thing delivered too and they got pissed because we declined the shipment. We don't have space in the store for random people's stuff. Couldn't imagine trying to do the deliveries, let alone in that kind of weather.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Good run, still very busy with work so I'm doing a gym deload for right now. I hope to be back in the gym right before Christmas.
Weird holiday story... every Christmas we have a big family Christmas party with all the extended family. The location rotates between a few people's houses and this year my parents have it. I asked my dad what they planned for the food and he says my mom wanted to pick up pizza and KFC out of all things. I'm like ok, that's pretty weird but sounds good. He says but they called up all the food places like that and all are closed for Xmas, makes sense. Now this is extremely weird, my mom decided they would pick up pizza and chicken Sunday (Xmas Eve) and then reheat it in the oven Xmas day. At first I didn't even believe him and said no way, you're just messing with me, but no apparently my mom really wanted to do it this way. I asked why don't you get some of those pre-made pizzas from the grocery store that you cook for like 20min and then cook them Christmas day? He said he did suggest it and my mom said that was stupid and no we're not doing that.
My dad said he'll put her on the phone and asked me to gently suggest getting the ready to cook pizzas at the store. He said you better not mention my name in any of this though, or I'm taking your Christmas presents back! I talk to my mom and yep her plan is to get take-out the day before, put it in the fridge, then reheat. So weird. I ask hey have you seen those ready to cook pizzas at the store? Those are great and you could even get plain ones and then buy toppings and have everybody pick out what they want before you cook them. She says that's an interesting idea, she'll think about it. I think if you tried to reheat the other stuff in the oven you'd burn it, pretty sure it's not meant for that. I don't know, hopefully they decide on something else.
Very bizarre, in the past they've done the traditional foods like get a Honeybaked Ham (pre-cooked, just have to warm it up in the oven, it's great.) I asked my dad why my mom didn't just do that again and he said he has no idea, but she is VERY set on her idea.
Anyway my aunt is doing pretty good and she'll be able to attend the holiday party.Current PRs:

I’m glad your aunt will be able to come. Reheated pizza and kfc? This reminds me of my mother’s book club. At one of their meetings, their host served reheated KFC and Eggos. My mother was not amused.
Sounds like it will make for a good story. You can't help the hopeless.

Very easy workout after a long deload. Kept the wts light and didn't go AMRAP on anything. Felt good to get a lot of stretching and prehab time in after. I have a bunch of Christmas crap to do tomorrow but will try to get a run done in the morning. As long as it isn't snowing as much as today I bet the park will have some trails clear enough to run on.
And holy freaking ham, Amazon, wtf are you doing?! I ordered a Christmas present Dec 9th as Prime 2 day shipping and it keeps getting delays and now will be here in January. My mom and aunt are both really into adult coloring books right now so I got them each a few of those. It's only one book and I have other presents for them too so not a huge deal but my penguin has still been poked. It's odd because I ordered a couple household things for myself Thurs that I don't immediately need yet I already received those, weird. Amazon shipping has sucked this year. I've gotten a lot of stuff late. And no the last few times I haven't even don't the customer service chat thing because I really don't have the time to deal with it - I got benches to press and quads to rampage.Current PRs:

Yep. Most of us that work there don't know why they made that decision. Fedex and western union, two things they added both to photo area that have been a hassle from the start. I've been head of photo before and we barely have enough space at any location for the photos and the online orders from the company's web site that customers can have shipped to the store and not pay shipping. And it's worse around the holidays. Glad I don't have to deal with it now though pharmacy corner has plenty of other issues.
Good luck with the amazon issues.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Yeah sounds like a lot of extra hassle for you guys too. I can only imagine the weird stuff the photo people have to see on a daily basis that is just plain photo related. I made a couple sets of custom Xmas cards this year of my pets that were both hilarious and mildly inappropriate.

Easy wts today, just getting back into the swing of things. Run was great even in 10 degree weather, had the whole trail to myself! This week is really cold. Friday it's supposed to be 21 and I thought wahoo, gonna be warm for running! My new running jackets are keeping me very comfortable in all conditions thusfar.
Christmas was great and oh man is my family nuts. It was at my parents' house this year and my mom was in full freak out mode about every little detail - typical day lmao. The food turned out great and there was tons of it. I have lots of leftovers and after I finish all that off I can go back to tracking macros. Right now I'm having cookies, and cheesecake, and candy flying at me and a bunch of delicious food from the party that I wouldn't even know how to track.
Everyone made it to the family party after a little fiasco which is my crazy family doing what they do. It was REALLY important that my aunt came (for everyone of course, but it was especially important to my dad who would've been really upset if she didn't.) My parents have lived in the same place for almost 40 years and somehow my aunt and uncle got lost driving out there, again. They actually got within about 15min of the house and instead of pulling over and calming down and calling one of us they decided to drive all the way back home. My dad gets this frantic phone call from my aunt back at her house, she's crying, uncle is yelling, it's a whole thing, sigh. There's all this stuff going on - uncle didn't turn on the gps, nobody thought to call anybody, people got upset, arguing ensued. My dad is really one of the calmest, most level headed people I know, srs, and he is way too good a guy to deal with some of the chit he has to put up with, ugh! So he eventually calms them down and convinces my uncle to drive back out again because this is a really important Christmas. Everybody got there, a couple hours late, but they got there and everybody had a nice Christmas together. Lots of good food, conversation, and we got to take some photos together which my family rarely does.
I got a badass toaster oven from my parents for Xmas. I tried it out tonight already and made an Italian BMT like I get at Subway - HNNGGG!!! So many epic sammiches will be made in this thing. I have a nice little stockpile of Amazon and some food gift cards too from family and friends. I got my dad a new Fitbit and my mom coloring books (some NSFW which she loved), candy, and a donation sponsorship for the local animal shelter which will mail her photos and a story about a shelter animal every month. Good Christmas was good.Current PRs:

Yeah... The pet cards are pretty common thought haven't seen any mildly inappropriate ones. Had a couple semi-nude photos come through when I was head of the department including a well done photo book. Did have one crazy instance that involved developing film and printing (back when we could do the film development in store) from a bachelorette party. They had a crazy good time and probably lots of alcohol.

BOOM - Ham everywhere. Solid workout, kept a lot of things light. I'm going to start a cut pretty soon, spiral-sliced-speedy-gazelle-ham here I come! My toaster oven has been so awesome for hot sammiches HNNGGG! I got the healthier deli meats and cheeses so we're good to go. I have one slice of Christmas cheesecake left and after that then all junk food will be banished from my house. Come to my door with cookies and the alligators will eat you. I'm shooting for 152-153. It will make running faster and easier and also put me in a better position for the bench and run competitions coming up in the summer.
TIME TO GET JACKED AND STACKED RARRWWW!!! FEEL MY GLAZE!Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

And the cat card was very cute. Sister's cat likes to be all classy like that too some days. Some of her, give me attention moments when you walk by but didn't reach down to pet her. Ahh cats. I haven't done a photo card but I did put together a whole photo books one year of cats from my parents house for my stepdad. We are a cat family.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Haha thanks! I'm over here eating like 7 different fruits and veggies a day now and almost no processed food. I'm having a WHOOSH like no other. Ugh, I gotta pee like every 30 minutes but I'm dropping water wt quickly.

Tons of volume and different exercises in today's chest day. Still kept it a tad lighter than usual and went slow and steady on Slingshot. I will likely bump up the AMRAP thing to twice a week just for practice. I rarely do high rep sets at light wt like that so it'll take a little bit to get used to.
Very excited the new season of Black Mirror was released yesterday! I watched the first episode yesterday, mind = destroyed. I'll watch another tonight and probably get some weird dreams from it. I've been taking melatonin nightly for a month now, crazy good dreams. I often get to run around killing zombies with axes and chainsaws and I vividly remember it which makes it even more awesome. One time there was a beer waterslide, that was pretty bad ass. 10/10 would slide again.Current PRs:
