Everybody there is doing their own thing and it's never an environment where I get too judgy TBH. People ask me stuff occasionally - how do you use this, what is that exercise you're doing, would you spot me, I always help out if I can. Have saved many a bro stuck with a failed bench press on their chest srs.

At least in a gym the instructions for machines are usually in clear view, but I still feel like a newb reading them. I usually just stick to what I do at home anyway, unless it's something I wish I could do at home like leg presses, and benching.

Indeed I do, that's how much I love lifting and running lol, I'll wake up early on the weekend and jump out of bed "HELL YEAH I GET TO GO RUN 5 MILES THIS MORNING!" SRS Yeah I am naturally getting faster without really trying. Cardio Crew for life.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure nobody evens noticed my (or anybody else's) existence in the gym though, read on and do your thing! I do all kinds of weird ass stretches and foam rolling and nobody so much as looks at me.

    Post: Stretching 15min

Fit in a small workout today since I got home from work early enough. Running is going to be in the dark for a while since it gets dark out at 4:30. :/ Stuck to level ground and avoided hills just in case I ran into any ice. Went BACON not HAM on the lifting. Usually go for at least 50 pull ups but scaled that back a bit, and only did a few lifts. Good enough for now. If I can get 2 lift days and 3 runs in a week until Xmas that will get me through. Eating about 4k calories a day, 200g of protein, and hitting 30k steps... December of peace and prosperity. Recently tried the Quest protein cookies, pretty damn good and easy to take with you. Have been rampaging sandwiches, chicken, protein bars, protein shakes, and pb. I think I'm keeping my local Subway in business.

I don't know how "back" I am. It's a good sign that I wandered over here though. Haven't been on here in months. Baby (baby) steps.

Subway is delicious, or it can be. Be careful out there in the dark, cold, and ice!

Short, easy workout. Got in 3 lift days and 2 runs this week, not bad with being at work long hours 6 days a week this month. I'll see if I can fit in a couple things this week. I went so HAM at work this week the bottoms of my boots peeled off in chunks Saturday, srs! I ordered some new ones and will wear running shoes until I get my new boots, but damn, never had that happen before. Those boots lasted about 4 winters so not terrible, they were more beat up than I realized when I actually looked at what was left of the bottoms.

At least the weather will warm up to 40ish this week. We still have snow/ice everywhere so I had to run in my neighborhood on the side of the road. It's mostly dead end streets that end in a cul de sac so you don't really encounter any cars, sidewalks are still covered in patches of ice.

    Post: Stretching 15min

A wild run appears! Got done at work at 3:30 today so went out for a run, FINALLY! Busy season is pretty much over with so it's back to the weights and the running trails. Have been eating everything in sight, but apparently a crapload of calories is my exact maintenance amount. Slightly irritated that I have to do a bunch of family stuff on Christmas when I finally get a day off work, but I should have time to fit in a run in the early morning. Damn, gonna be forced to wear pants that day too, ugh. When the hell is "National Eat Pizza on the Couch in Your Basketball Shorts" Day?

Productive workout, feeling like I'm getting back in the groove. Christmas was fun but I ate so many cookies LMAO. Felt really sick when I woke up today. Probably ate more sugar yesterday than I've had in the last 6 months! And pie, there was chocolate pie which I had multiple slices of. Anyway, detoxing from holiday food, getting the mileage back up, daily stretching back in the game plan, and lifting days back on track.

Got some really awesome Christmas gifts from my dad. He visited the Football Hall of Fame this year so he got me some sweet Steelers stuff! I had asked for a big Steelers flag for my home gym, he got me a beautiful one, and this cool heritage banner with the different helmet styles over the years (that's getting proudly displayed in the living room), a special HOF Terrible Towel, and a Steelers blanket. Also got some really good gift cards from people - Subway, Outback Steakhouse, Amazon, Dominoes. And I had a few gift certificates for local running stores from some races and bp comps I did this year so I stocked up on some really nice running socks and got a badass Brooks hat. Mannnn I'm so excited for the 2019 racing season to start! At least I have plenty of football to watch until then.

I think all the running has improved my immune system too, srs. Came down with a cold in the midst of work craziness two weeks ago, and usually I'm fighting that for 3 weeks and coughing everywhere. It hit me hard for like a day this time, but that was pretty much it. I haven't needed to constantly have DayQuil and cough drops, and went back to running without issue. So hell yeah, welcome to the Cardio Crew!

Stretching is so good for you. I've been doing it daily as well, mostly before or after BJJ or on days off when I don't do anything else. It's amazing how much it improves movement quality.

I think EVERYONE has had a cold lately. My brother and I also had something that's been, in our cases, lingering despite having great cardio :P I'm glad you feel better, though. You're so robust. Damn girl.

Merry Christmas (belated) glad you got good presents and had a fun time!

Nice job on it all. Hope you're feeling better now but sounds like yours wasn't so bad. Mind was kind of like that last month. It was very short with just really the one blah day. My coworkers, not so lucky as they all pretty much had there turns. One was sick for her family Christmas vacation. And one of the pharmacists when she gets sick the cough part at the end can last months. Plus now she has the flu.

Now with calmer work hours you can keep rampaging, as if it stopped you much the past couple of weeks.

Yay for sugary stuff! That what holidays are for, wrecking your body so bad that you don't want "junk" food until next holiday season, lol.

I gotta get my stretching on track, I only stay consistent when I workout, but I'd like to be in the habit of doing it daily.

Oh man, I thought I broke my toe today, but I think it's fine now. Spike (my foam roller with all the spikes) fell out of my gym locker onto my bare foot at the most awkward horrible angle landing right on my big toe. SWEET HONEY GLAZES that hurt like a mo-fo!! It ripped off some skin and ended up bruising a bit, but I can move my toe and walk fine. I have fairly meaty toes so that helped lmao.

Nice session, killer rows, I don't know if my grip could hold a DB that heavy long enough to do those!

Any time you hit your toe is feels like it's broken. Such fragile little feet fingers. I'm glad it's not broke though, that sounds like it hurt like hell.

Heehee feet fingers!! Yeah I thought I had a serious issue when I did it, hurt so friggin' bad. I have a small bruise today but it doesn't hurt to walk around, and I ran 7 miles without issue so I guess it's fine now.

WAHOO it was 57 degrees for a random day in December! Great to get out in short sleeves and run in the park. I don't think of 7 miles as a "long" run anymore really, maybe 9 miles and over can qualify as long, so just a medium run, was pretty easy. Got to try out the new hat and socks today too, exciting times.

Flying Pig half marathon is in May so I'm getting back on track with my base mileage. I'd love to get up to 30 miles a week well before May. And in a little while I'll add back in speed work.

*38 and dark, ran up Big Ass Hill once

    Post: Stretching 15min

Good lift day, back to decently normal numbers. Went easy on Slingshot since I haven't done it in about a month. Hit ~15 miles this week running, slowing getting that back up to where it needs to be. Looked up the elevation gain for the Flying Pig Half, 935' which is not that bad spread over that distance. That would be like running my normal loop and having to throw in the Big Ass Hill once every 3 miles, not bad at all. I'll start hitting it up multiple times per run to get better used to it.

Stressful football day, Steelers won of course, but the dumbass browns needed to knock out baltimore so we could get in the playoffs, but since the browns suck at everything they couldn't even do that. Ugh, their stupid quarterback is the worst, I hate that guy. I hope he drops his pizza on the ground every time he gets a pizza and has dirt in his pizza all the time, bwah ha ha! Stupid browns... ruining Sunday nights for people all season long, sigh. We could still get in if this Titans game tied but that's not going to happen seeing how that game is going right now. :'(

I was rooting for the Browns too after the Steelers won, because I knew Steelers are your team. They were so goddamn close too. I usually watch whoever is interesting without getting too fixed on a certain team, though I like having hate-teams. So I'm hoping the Pats get knocked out early on in playoffs, and I wouldn't mind KC vs NO in the superbowl if they continue to do well, I think it'd make a good game. Or the Bears, they're doing well too.
I just hate when the superbowl is a boring blow out game, or when Brady wins. :P

Yeah that was incredibly close! No idea why the stupid browns go hur dur let's throw a bunch of passes which may or may not work instead of playing it safe this drive and running it grabbing a few yards at a time. You want game ending interceptions? Well that's how you get game ending interceptions, sigh. :/ Oh yeah I also hate the Pats! I think everyone does who doesn't live in NE, they're annoying, Brady is annoying, sick of seeing the same team in it all the time. I mean the Steelers have been in the Super Bowl a crapload of times too, but those are my guys! I like seeing different teams in there, Bears would be good, that's one I haven't heard much about in years up until this season.

*48 degrees and pouring rain, park run

    Post: Stretching 15min

Got soaked on that run, it's been pouring all day! Saw one other person at the park running and that was it. I'll take rain any day though, if it was 30 degrees with this crap the paths would be wiped out with snow and ice.

Trying to kick out all the holiday junk food and get back to a normal diet. Came home after the run and my neighbor left me a holiday gift with a huge canister of chocolate covered popcorn, damn! Yes I ate like half of it already lol. It is still bulking season for a while but I think my farts are going to start setting off the smoke alarm if I don't change something up heehee.

Oh and it's an exciting day, ordered a new iphone, only happens about every 4 years, srs, it's kinda like the winter Olympics. I'll have my battery charged at 100% in the morning and an hour into my day it's down to 30%. I'm basically running around plugging it in somewhere all day so it doesn't die. Ordered right from Apple so I apparently don't even have to do anything, it just shows up, sign in, and we're good to go! Man, this is like the birth of a new baby! BRB hanging up banners in my front yard for the new iphone arrival this week.

Have a Happy New Year, people! I'm sure it will be another entire year of me asking people "wait, what year are we in right now?" about twice a week lmao.

    Happy New Year!
I used to love it too. There was something so invigorating about being soaked and cold outside but warm from exertion inside, and it washed away the sweat. High risk of screwing up an ipod or phone, though, and of suddenly stepping in a puddle way deeper than you thought it would be and running three more miles with a soggy sneaker.

Happy New Year, hammy, I hope it brings many new endeavors for you to conquer and massive gainz.

Chocolate-covered popcorn does sound pretty awesome, though with popcorn, oddly, I tend to prefer cheddar. Someone was making some next door today... ugh jealous. Though it definitely messes up my digestion too. Getting back to eating well always feels better when I remind myself that it literally feels better physically.

The dumb motherfluffer said he doesn't know what's going on in the world, because he's a "positive person" and apparently that means not paying attention to anything outside yourself. He seems so vapid.

Let's just say he really doesn't need to worry about the effects of CTE. >.<

Omg, how do I even respond seriously to you? >.<

Good luck on kicking out the junk, it sucks because you want to just be rid of it, but don't really want to waste stuff. I usually plan to eat it over a few days, like if I have a fat bag of chips, small handfuls here and there... put then end up eating it all in two days because I keep taking many handfuls.
