True, but it's been pitch black at 4am so all good there. Anytime I'm running in daylight I'm good about spraying that everywhere.
I think you're onto something there, it may be the key to making anyone a morning person. If I have a morning routine I enjoy, I feel really good about getting up and getting it done. Maybe not at 4am, lol.

Oh glob, this conversation reminds me I don't have a lot of choice with when I can run, and it'll be getting too hot before long. That'll be a test of willpower. >.<
I think it's helping, doubt I'll ever be a morning person but I'm shooting for becoming a less enraged morning person. Yeah in the heat of summer when it's 93 degrees and I'm carrying a water belt around it's like damn when is it gonna get cooler out, haha.

4 am is just too $%@# early. I used to run in the morning up in Oregon before work but that was when I had closing shifts. I could never get myself up to run before a morning shift here, not with the hour commute too. Need my sleep. Don't know how you get all the energy to do all that you do and work. You just keep going. Energizer batteries involved in any way?

LMAO, no but I just seem to have no "off" switch. Always up and ready to go. Seriously sometimes think something in me is broken because I have a chit ton of energy all the time.

As long as I have some caffeine, I can be a decent morning person, lol. I do like getting stuff done early so I feel like I've accomplished chit, and it leaves me with those good feels the rest of the day.

As soon as I realized summer was approaching, I was second guessing my running, lol. May even have to do it before lifting if it gets too hot, so I can knock it out as early as possible. Maybe it'll be easier though, hopefully I'll have made some good improvement in the next few months, so the heat won't feel so taxing.

Did a semi-long run today, nothing too difficult. Have had a pesky cough since the end of January, wasn't even a big deal but got worse in the last couple weeks. Went to doc - bronchitis and possible asthma. :/ At least I have an answer and now all these drugs to try and knock it out - z-pak, prednisone, inhaler of prosperity. If I did develop some kind of asthma that makes sense now that every time I get a cold I'm fighting a cough for two or three months afterwards. Really expected them to say yeah it's winter, there's no humidity, everybody's coughing due to that, there's nothing wrong. Other than the annoying cough and having to spit out a gallon of phlegm on every run (great image I know heehee) I feel fine, lifting stronger than ever and even my running pace times are getting faster without me intentionally trying to get faster. Also after a lifetime of having amazingly awesome blood pressure, srs like 117 over 70s now I'm getting 135+ and sometimes 80s when I go to the doc and it's freaking me out. I got a little bp measure thing from Amazon after an unrelated appointment a couple weeks ago (not regular doc so I don't think that one even cares about bp), freaked out in the parking lot when I Googled bp numbers and discovered it could be better, although they didn't say anything to me about it. Have been checking it at home, it's awesome right after I go running like 117/68, but 130s/80s a lot of random times. Today at the doc I got 130/68 so now I'm completely confused. I have to go back for a follow up about the coughing thing and get my regular physical done so I'll dig into that more at that time. Jeez I run 25 miles a week and lift 5x a week and eat generally healthy, wtf. Not sure if I'm gonna make it you guys, RIP Ham.

That sucks. On one hand you'd think asthma and running wouldn't mix, but you'd also thing running would be good for your breathing, right? You've been going at it this long without even knowing you (possibly) have it, so if you do, I'm sure you'll be able to manage just fine.

I can relate, not to the overall activity (I'm not quite that awesome), but I try to be healthy and chit still goes wrong. In fact, I'm sure more has gone wrong since I started getting healthier, lol.

Yeah it's weird, never had any kind of problem before with running. Still running doesn't seem to really trigger anything. Just got this pesky cough all... damn... day. If I do have that then I think you're right, doesn't seem to effect me that much.

Very strong back day again, got a few rep increases in there, db curls are getting crazy. Holy chit people need to shut the fuk up in the sauna. It's annoying enough when they talk to each other and ruin the silence but I can deal with that, just don't start something with me. Had to walk out halfway through and take a breather because this old dude was making me mad asking me 100 questions. Gonna bring the earbuds back and just tuck the end into my shorts pocket so people think I'm listening to something, srs. DO NOT RUIN SACRED SAUNA TIME.

Decent day, didn't go very heavy. Cough was doing pretty good first half the day but then it got way worse, not sure if the meds are working at all, I think I'm immune to them. Highly irritated at everything and everyone right now. Really thought this running in the morning thing would chill me out a bit, no, not at all so far. I think I'd have to run 20 miles to have any effect like that, srs.

Nice workouts but no bueno on the coughing and asthma. Though if it helps, I've had to work on insurance for an inhaler for someone who was going to be running in a marathon so can still run distance even with inhalers. ;-)

I don't know anything about blood pressure, so no help there. How long did they give you on the steroid? Was it a dose pack or they just give you a bunch and directions on dosing? Just curious. The z-packs easy though I don't remember how long it really takes to experience the affect from the antibiotic. My sister has an inhaler too. One of the main ones, the albuterol though now they have the generic instead of the ventolin or proair, but not all insurances cover the generic. I see a lot of scripts on things like that with some being easier to deal with than others. I've never needed one but never know what will happen in the future.

Yeah that helps. I would like to think a lot of people that have that run regularly. Not sure if I even do, tbh the inhaler seems to do absolutely zero for me. I don't feel out of breath at all, just coughing up all kinds of gross chit.

The prednisone is 12 days, started at 30mg and going to 20 then 10. Happy I get to lower the dosage tomorrow, this chit makes me feel horrible. My stomach is a mess and it made me puke a lot last night. That was some violent puking too. Not sure if anybody ever has easy going gentle puking lmao but damn now I have this bloody part on the bottom of my eye. Looks like something exploded srs. The few times I've gotten the flu my eyes get red from puking so hard and I get like a red rash all over my face.

The albuterol is the generic one, was still expensive AF even with insurance. Anyway it seems to do absolutely nothing for me. I'll keep taking it as prescribed but I don't think it's helping me. None of these meds seem to be doing anything helpful. :/

Very strong shoulder day, killed it on incline bp, hit over goal reps on amrap, and some extra reps on military press. Weird run this morning in the dark with pouring rain. Strength and endurance seem great but still not feeling better from this pesky cough. Meds don't seem to help at all and are messing up my stomach, but at least tomorrow I get to lower the dosage. Bothered me so much yesterday I ended up puking last night. Got a nice bloody exploded vessel (I think) on the bottom of my eye from the violent puking, I assume that's what that's from unless I poked myself in the eye with a fork and don't remember.

Yes! The running is a semi new thing. Started running a couple miles every other day like 2 years ago for cardio benefits. Ended up running half marathons by this past September. I like it, it's rough sometimes but builds character I think because I'm not good at it but getting better.

Strong back is strong. DB curls are getting ridiculous. Got some nice vascularity from that in my arms and shoulders busting out, mwah ha ha!

This farking cough is making running miserable right now. I swear I'm hacking up a gallon of phlegm over three miles, spitting everywhere, very irritating. Still on meds to hopefully fix that but I'm probably going to pick up some Mucinex and try that. The prescriptions I'm taking seem to do absolutely nothing except give me weird side effects. That inhaler is extremely stupid, does nothing but make my heart rate go up. It's wrecked my resting heart rate for the week. Maybe I'm allergic to winter?

    Bench Press: 195x1
    OHP: 105x4
    Deads: 315x1
