Haha thanks! im a big fan of your beardness!!
Man..back at 260, i never thought i could even make it to 190, really. I thiugh id be pretty satisfied with 200 but then i kept setting new goals. I thought idve been ripped at 190 cause i always thought i was the bigger guy of all.my friends and had muscle mass but i was wrong haha.
still happy even if i have to cut to 165. I can always pack on muscle afterwards
checked your thread as well and loving your progress! Keept it up!!

I got down to around this weight (im actually 2lbs lighter now) back in the end of november but just stopped going and started to eat bad again. I think seeing how much success I had and then seeing how fast I threw it away is major motivation to stick with it now. I also never in my life would I have thought I would love going to the gym.

Nothing I got from here.. just basic workout.
Chest: Flat bench, inclined dumbbell press, Decline bench, Cable flies, Pec Dec etc.. usually reps of 8.
Biceps/Triceps/Forearms: Cable pull down, skullcrushers, dips, close grip curls, seated hammer curls, reverse grip curls.. etc...
Legs: Squats, Leg press, Calf raises, Leg raises, lunges
Shoulders: Arnold press, lateral raises, front raises, Military press barbell etc..
Back: Lap pull down, wide grip pulldowns, not that much deadlifts to be honest, bent over t bar row, seated cable row etc...
As well as 5x30 min cardio and abs 3x a week.
Nowadays I have a quite more complicated routine with a lot of supersets and dropsets and teaming up muscle groups and higher reps. Wont share it just now.. maybe in a couple months! :P Then again, im not "cutting" much per say... Eating at maintenance ish (2500 cals) High Fat, High Protein and low carbs. Trying to lower the bodyfat while filling up those muscles a little more.. Seems to be working real well so far!Transformation Thread: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=177716261&p=1591136601#post1591136601

Thanks! Yeah, really proud, that's for sure!
Well, getting to the gym every day took me about 3 weeks to get in a routine and actually NOT want to skip the gym. So that wasn't too bad.
Foodwise was another issue. As I mention earlier in the first post, Im a recovering addict and I had turned my addiction to food, even after being 3 years clean & sober... So it made it easy, yet, made it hard at the same time. My inner demons told me eating wasn't nearly as bad as drugs so it was okay...But I had to wake up every morning and decided not to let those demons win, just like I do with sobriety..and after 3 years,,its become fairly easier though I do have my harder moments..
Taking pictures and seeing tangible results made it even better, so its the support from the weight loss threads...That played a huge role in keeping it up. Thanks for creating this new thread btw!! Don't think ill be submitting weights because at 175, I don't think ill get any lower than 170 now as we are aiming for fat loss and lean muscle mass but yeah, ill be there for support and cheering on others on a similar journey!
I think there was about 4 occasions where I gave in and absolutely pigged out in the first 4 months.. Around Christmas time... Potlucks where I ate over 5000 cals in an evening...Or all you can eat sushi once... and the other times... Big surf and turf dinner table d'hote with 2 cheesecake slices lol. Next day, I was 7-8 pounds heavier, but actually lost it all plus a pound or two the next 7 days. Those BIG cheats actually got me past a little "plateau" if you wanna call it that.
9 days into this new routine, I haven't had a cheat yet. Getting to that 10% is gonna be the hardest part I think as I have to chose carefully. That and paying for some guidance/trainer kind sucks if youre gonna not do as you are suggested. hahaha.Transformation Thread: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=177716261&p=1591136601#post1591136601

Had kind of a big cheat meal Friday night and just now got back down to my before cheat meal weight. Granted today was my first day back in the gym since than but should see more weight come off threw the week.
John, what resistance setting did you run the bike on when you did your cardio? I try to keep it around 12-13 for a half hour and my heart rate is normally 150 range.1/28/16- 228lbs

I find that anything below 10-11 on the bike is not enough for me but the bikes at my gym and the bikes at yours might be different. Lifefitness I think are the ones at my gym... Keep up the good work though! Keep us updated as well. You are a motivation to many people right now and that has to feel awesome! I know if I was Canadian like yourself I couldnt do it. I would just get super fat on awesome poutine fries (which america has yet to discover) and watch Trailer Park Boys all day long.
