As a guy who is a pathetic height of 5'6, being what people call a "manlet" is pretty depressing. I'll explain why
1. It's socially acceptable to make fun of us. People on misc do it daily. People in real life can do it, and other people will laugh. A person who is short, or hell even a midget will be laughed at, and in the 1% chance we are defended, it's due to sympathy.
2. Girls reject you based on it. I've had many times where I was rejected simply because I was short. Women have these high standards where you need to be average height or tall to even consider dating them
Don't even mention heels, where a woman will LOOK taller than you. No, look MUCH TALLER. People will laugh at you if you are short and you are around a taller woman
3. Your potential is crippled. In fights? The taller guy will almost always have the advantage. Even if the manlet is of equal skill, a taller fighter can carry bigger weight better and will beat a manlet more times than not. Height+Weight+Reach=Win
4. You can't solve it. At least if you are ugly you can get plastic surgery. If you are skinny, you can lift weights to become big. If you are fat, you can lose weight. If a woman has small boobs, she can have them get bigger through procedures.
But being able to increase your height is a no go. Even if there are "procedures" they are still in it's infancy and no where near as popular as plastic surgery. There are no pills to make you taller. IF you are 5'6, you are screwed. If you are 5 feet you are even more screwed.
5. Jobs. They will almost always pick the taller guy, over the short guy. Tall Represents Power.
6. Taller people will always look better. A person who is 6'2 200+ lbs is the height of american beauty. A short individual however, will look like a rolly polly if he is 200lbs. Being taller and having more weight makes you far more intimidating.
TLDR:
There are lots of struggles with being a manlet. You get made fun of, and less opportunities compared to people of avg height or being tall. And it honestly sucks.

in all honesty, i would take having a big disease for the rest of my life and being in pain constantly, than being 5'6. Being average height or tall gives you a lot of advantages in life.
On the contrary, being short every day is a challenge. Because we are always underestimated, judged harshly, and made fun of.

I'm extremely serious. There are no benefits to being short, and it kills me inside. To know my ****ing parents gave BIRTH to a short person like me.
It's shown all the time in this forum. Short people are constantly criticized and on the butt end of jokes. Does this happen to tall people? No, because tall people do not get made fun of. Being tall is a representation of power, throughout all of media.

I'm sure most people living in war torn countries, disease ridden environments or enduring a rather unfair life filled with corruption and heartbreak would trade life's with you in an heartbeat.
Until they realise you're 5'6.
