I haven't seen the ATX mono's in person, I can't find the thread, but fellow Brit WGPA bought an AtX Monster rack on my recommendation, I believe he was one of the first to buy the ATX mono's when
they launched.
I seem to remember him having a few issues when he first received the mono's, an issue with the way the spring retracted the arms, I think ATX made a small modification and resolved the issue. To my mind the spring always looked like the weak link in the design, but generally springs can easily be changed.
I haven't heard from him for a while, it would be interesting to find out how they're standing up.

Not sure if @Mech6 is still making gear, but I'd love to see a pin on (not bolt on) version of the Sorinex Mule. Some folks already have leg rollers, so the cost/build would be even simpler. (I have a Rouge Monster rack) Looking for another option for hamstrings at home, with very limited space.

The range of motion there is shockingly bad, if I didn't get those for free to review they'd be going back ASAP. Even for bench press that's not enough room for error, those are nothing more than hockey stick paper weights unless you almost entirely remove the UHMW to get more swing on the arm.

Must have been speaking to theoretical measurements, like if the arm was 90 degrees from the rack and then they made the mistake of measuring from center-to-center. I'd be livid if I were one of their customers right now, took them FOREVER to launch those and now they'll have to wait another 6 months for V2 to be functional. If you remove the plastic completely does it get alot better? I might try trimming up my UHMW on the Titan's just out of curiosity, could add another inch of space pretty easy.

Damn right Mech's are the gold standard. I thought that was a damn good review that could be used for all hockey stick style mono's current.

I caught that review last night, GamecockLifter/Adam's review(s) are solid and no stones are left unturned, cool shoutout on the Mech monos too...although Mech might get mauled now because of the mainstream exposure lol, especially around these crazy times.
On the subject of Mech monos, I like incline bench with them a real lot and they're great for bringing the hooks more forward and away from the lower back crossmember to not impede your inclined bench racking position unlike with regular J-cups.

Very solid review. You do a nice job. Didn't realize that was you. Count me in on the hockey stick head dings/cuts when I had Rogue's on my squat stand.
I actually kept Rogue Monster Lite when I moved and upgraded my rack solely because I could keep my Mech monos. You'd think someone would just knock them off like Sorinex did with his belt squat design (although price bears no resemblance!). I'd rather see Mech paid for his work but that never happens in this industry (plus doesn't seem like he cares all that much) as these guys copy each other all the time, you'd think they'd learn and copy the better designs though. Seems rather intuitive.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Its much more likely the more it gets mentioned, Garage Gym Lab has quite a few followers on social media so maybe people will start searching for the relatively unknown 'Gold Standard' mono from Mech. Which if we are lucky that will work its way to Coop and then you have a really good chance of seeing someone rip off the design. Mech's probably up there making Tony Stark's next Ironman suit anyway haha.

I’m in the process of hacking my Rep monolifts. I already modified the ears to fit around my 3x4 uprights, also cut the the pin since my uprights don’t have through holes. I’m cutting the actual metal on the monolift. I figured the UHMW may be compromised if I trimmed it since the weight of the bar pulls on it.
I’m debating cutting the hockey stick off and adding a pull spring to the arm since I already whacked my head on the hockey stick while adjusting my safeties for squats.

How can I get added to the list? Is there a number? [I kid I kid] ;-)
Interesting, I heard it and recall it the other way as it was posted here I nearly positive but 1) my memory isn't great these days 2) I'm no authority on development of these and don't monitor it.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Yes, this is correct.
I'll keep saying I was the first to make the monolift hooks install like j-hooks however. Even though it was fairly obvious, I did beat out rogue by a few weeks. And I'm still the only one that made them for rogue's own drop-in system. Which is BONKERS. It's actually the ones from that youtube REP review. I still don't know why rogue wouldn't use their own teardrops.▪█──█▪ Equipment Crew #61 ▪█──█▪

Oh yeah, that’s right. I was initially going to get Edge’s bolt in monolift attachments, but changed my mind once I saw your monolift design posts. Rogue came out with their bolt in monolift attachments around that time too. I think the prototype you made for Alex was out for quite some time before Rogue came out with their j-cup install type version.
Btw, didn’t realize it’s been 6 years since I first contacted you about the monos...time flies.Last edited by mrcheeze36; 12-19-2020 at 06:30 PM.
