Talking about the Canadian company who made it's mark selling these to teenagers in the 1970s and 1980s before the market became flooded with options in the 1990s. I think that was a pretty important contribution to the market.

It's curious that the company who made the cheap and cheerful equipment available at department store eventually bought the better regarded company of professional quality weightlifting equipment.
