Still no Satin Clear from Rogue. I liked its raw look and contrast against the black attachments like jcups and flip down safeties. Standby options include White, Black, Red, Dark Blue, Light Gray, and Gun Metal.
Even White has a chance, but my old Parabody rack is white and reminds me of gym equipment from the 80's & 90's.
Anybody have good pics of the last three to share?Last edited by buddy0329; 10-29-2021 at 12:57 PM.

I find it’s not very aggressive knurling with the cerakote , and a little less aggressive than the black zinc .
But I bought the cerakote for looks anyways , as it’s just there for show . I’m a fan of Rogue bars though , as all five of these are Rogue .
Trying to keep with the orange theme, and phasing out anything yellow as I get ambitious

Yeah I sold my Mammoth bar as I was pretty underwhelmed by it. Nice bar and great quality, but the knurl was pretty smooth for a power bar and with the color of the cerakote, I was having trouble seeing the knurl rings, especially when bench pressing. I pretty much only go with stainless shafts these days (south Louisiana humidity has a lot to do with that).
My 3X aggro has been sold (thank u Fb Marketplace! Even with shipping, you can actually make some money back compared to eBay & their crazy fees). MAN that bar was aggressive. Really unpleasant to use, IMO. I haven't really heard any opinions on the 2X, not that I have Any desire for one at this point.. was just curious. My AB Elite power bar is my main "every day" power bar, so I'm just looking to add one more 29m with a "more aggressive" knurl pattern. We'll see what shakes out. I honestly would love a Kabuki power bar if the price wasn't so ridiculous (and no stainless???). I may check out Rep's power bars...
In other random Rogue news... I bought some (expensive) pairs of urethane dumbbells from them maybe 6 months ago-ish, and quality was really all over the place. I ended up selling as the different textures, bubbles in the finish, etc. were just ticking me off for the price paid. I have since given Rep fitness a try on their (basically the same product) urethane dumbbells and the two pairs I've bought so far have been perfect and Much, much cheaper... sooo not to trash on Rogue too much here, b/c I love their Made in US products, but if you're going for some urethane dumbbells, REP is definitely winning on price and quality there.Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

Rackable curl bar came today, looking pretty good! Some weird lines in the areas around the bends, I'm assuming that's just a byproduct of bending the steel. Coating looks good, the sleeves seem decent (although ribbed), and the knurling is fairly passive. BUT, I will say the bends on this bar are near PERFECT! The only bar I'd say came close was the Ivanko I owned, very happy with this one

I originally had a black zinc OPB for years, sold it last year and got the Rep deep knurl power EX bar and have been very happy with it. The knurling is more aggressive on the Rep bar and took me a few sessions to get used to it. It’s been my go to bar since getting it.
I believe the Griffin SS Power bar is the same or very similar to the Rep Power EX bar and it sometimes goes on sale ($25 off for Father’s Day, $50 for the 4th of July). Might be worth looking into and maybe it’ll go on sale for Veterans Day and/or Black Friday:

Still have holes to drill, but the first mono is installed! Played with fire on this purchase, knowing I could only really have 4" adjustments on the Mono's with Legend's numbers already cut into the sides. Think it's going to pay off though, the squat height feels good so I'm hoping the same with bench.

I need help! Anyone run 3 top crossmembers on an RM6?
I ordered the rack a couple of days ago with the Monster top beam with gusset (non-nameplate) and regular pull-up bar. I wasnt going to bolt it down so I ordered the Monster rear stabilizer. The rack is going up against the wall so I dont care about walking out the rear. I happened to come across this old 2018 thread where the poster put up his swaying RM6 on Youtube; its down now but I remember seeing it at the time: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...165631&page=5&
He didn't have the nameplate crossmember either so I wondered if that was part of his problem. I got nervous and made a couple of changes.
My current flat foot rack is rock solid and the last thing I wanted to do was spend the money on a new rack and not be happy with its stability versus a 25 year old Parabody.
I subbed out the Monster 43" Monster top beam for the XM-43N nameplate crossmember since that attaches at two points that are 16.5" apart versus 8" for the regular crossmember. I also added the XM-43M multi-grip crossmember to the order. With the idea of gusseting the corners of the rack: mounting the multi-grip up-front, the name plate in it usual place, the single pull-up bar on the far rear top and the stabilizer in the bottom rear of the rack.
So yea....I'm sure I over did it. Worst case I have an extra pull-up bar that doesn't get mounted to the rack and I lose a few bucks, or I could still make another change before it's too late.
Oh and yeah I have to mount the multi-grip crossmember inverted becasue my ceiling height is less than 94". Hopefully no one will tell me that wont work.
Will I still have enough room to overhead press in the rack with the multi-grip crossmember installed? I dont mean directly below it, but in between that crossmember and the nameplate.
What would you change here?

This guy has it with name plate: https://old.reddit.com/r/homegym/com...s_home_gym_v1/
With Rogue's 49" width, you'll be bumping the plates constantly if you try to OHP inside the rack. But I think having less than 7'10" ceilings is your first problem.York History - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dbRIGo0tZlrume27s3jusN2gtuEfLgQXOt1UPTZUfnI/edit

Update on the new Rogue Mono's, I've had them for numerous sessions now and I really like them. They could definitely make improvements on a couple things, but they are the best option outside of finding Mech's on the used market. First off, the J-cup area is TOOOO long. When racking the Barbell with heavy weight you hit the back, then there is a huge drop forward to the front lip. Second, they REALLY need to add a second set of holes on the side like Mech, would allow for 1" adjustments and wouldn't increase the cost much. Lastly, what I like most about them, is with the position of the grip area sliding them up and down the uprights is a breeze! This is probably the only area where they beat Mech aside from quality, they are more compact and it's easier to make adjustments with having side pins that just slide in. The UHMW seems very durable as well, MUCH better than the junk Titan was using on their Titan Series.
Congrats! I should have checked there before buying mine, never even crossed my mind.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #58 ▪█─────█▪

Not sure what has happened with Rogue but this is pretty pathetic. Decided to replace the last of the Dicks Sporting Goods plates. Looked at the change plates available and decided that it was worth the extra money to get accurate calibrated plates vs +/-2% plates for surprisingly not much less. Ordered 3 sets of 2.5lbs and 5lb plates from Rogue.
The 2.5lb plates were fine. They're stainless steel. The 5lb plate finish is horrible. They came covered in rust. Just a couple of pictures attached but I'm definitely contacting Rogue. One of the plates appears to have touch up paint on it. It's hard to capture, but quite a few have significant casting lines on the finish as well.
6 months ago I had ordered a complete set of calibrated plates and the finish wasn't great. There were two plates (out of 22) that looked like they had touch-up paint and several more where it looked like they spilled the clear coat on them. They're plates so I knew they wouldn't stay perfect and Rogue refunded 10% of the price. That was fine as sending them back would have been a pain. Since then I've ordered 1500lbs of deep dish plates and 4 or 5 of the plates came with some scratches but only one significant scratch. I didn't bother to reach out for any of that.
These ones are probably going right back. All 6 have issues. I'm thinking Rogue isn't concerned about quality with their calibrated plates. Considering the price, should be their focus. End of rant

Completely agree that the finish on expensive calibrated plates should be good and you should contact Rogue.
It's worth noting that Rogue's calibrated plates aren't made in USA and they are selling KG plates at a discount due to finish issues, so they may not be aware that the LB plates have problems too. QC is clearly lacking. Probably made in the same factory in China or wherever.

Got an Ohio Power Bar out of the grab bag so paid $158 shipped to my door. I honestly can't tell what's wrong with it, maybe a nick in the sleeve? Either way, nothing I care about since my equipment is to be used. Bare steel shaft and zinc sleeves but hopefully my insulated garage will make it so I don't need much maintenance on the bare steel part. The biggest surprise to me is the knurling. I have used a number of bars but never an OPB and I was actually surprised it wasn't more aggressive. My Rep PowerSpeed bar has a lot more bite to it. The knurling is nice though, haven't used it yet but I'm looking forward to it. Hard to beat the price.

I got a 29mm grab bag bar and it had some damage on the sleeves and shaft, however knurling felt great (more aggressive than the OPB I had)…I think I got one that’s a ‘fakebuki’ lol…That’s what they’re calling it on a discord channel I’m on as it’s similar to the Kabuki power bar knurling (several others have gotten the same bar in the recent grab bag sale). The OPB knurling is like a volcano while the knurling on the bar I got has mountain points.

Still, you getting an OPB under $160 is a good deal. I’m surprised the grab bag bars were available for awhile…it’s my first time getting one and usually it sells out quick. I guess they had a bunch. I read some people got the Oly grab bag bar and it was suppose to be a bearing bar (I think it was $50 more than the other GB bars) but came with bushings so they contacted Rogue CS and were refunded.

They have a note on the page that says: "These plates are being sold at discount due to minor cosmetic paint issues. Plates are in new condition. All sales are final." I don't consider rust strictly a cosmetic issue though. As an aside, it doesn't look like Rogue makes these plates. It appears they're made in CN by a 3rd party - something Rogue isn't very upfront about it. Rather than saying made in CN, the simply omit the "Made in the USA" label.
