When I saw them on the Rogue site the first thing I thought of was the guy with the electric hoist. At times I have used my last rep of a set as a negative, but have only done a negative with an amount that was above my 1 rep max a couple of times because of having to unload the bar to get it back into the starting position.

I working on a list of things to purchase from Rogue right now and these are on it. Although I have been tempted to rig up something more temporary to test the idea out in the short term.

Hey man. Thank you for taking the time to upload and post those pics. I was trying to find the exact magnets, but apparently yours only comes in $70 bulk. I actually figure out another solution. There are these Gun magnets for people's vehicles that are also a perfect fit, and might look a little more aesthetically pleasing since it's color matches that of the Rhino Belt Squat's upright color. They come in packs of two, you can get these from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Hols...2-b6761a63ecf6

They won't touch the Rhino's arms, but the magnetic strength in the left over gap is just enough to ensure the arms don't fall back on their own.

So I was up early researching barbells and taking the great advice on this thread and decided on the Rogue Ohio 45 pound power bar in bare steel. I have lots of guns and love rubbing oil on them anyway and look forward to the bar getting a nice patina over time. Of course they didn’t have it in stock so I put my email in and went to work on my basement. No lie like three hours later I get an email it’s in stock...must have been meant to be so one is on the way...pretty psyched, thanks for the advice.

An electric hoist would be sweet for heavy negatives! I used to use the smith machine for this purpose at my local gym, but you're absolutely correct about having to lift the weight back into it's starting position. Even though I would stand on the bench and deadlift the bar back up, it's still a challenge after doing heavy slow negatives, especially for multiple reps in a row. By the time you finish, you're exhausted!

I only regret selling two bars because I thought there were always going to be new used craiglist deals to find.

One was a bare steel rogue castro 1.0 bar. Knurl was great and spin was butter smooth like bearings. I enjoyed taking care of it.

Even if you mess them up they clean up nice

I also sold a Rogue Castro bar a while back and still regret it to this day. Knurl was a perfect moderate grippy feel, and just like you mentioned, the spin was insane for a bushing bar. Super nice bar with an unfortunate name.

I've never been much of a kettlebell fan, but this looks cool and reasonably affordable. It's new but the full kit is already out of stock, of course:

    https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-loadable-kettlebell

I wonder how much weight you could really load. I'd think you'd only load 5s or 10s for most movements, but I could be wrong.

I'm hoping this is the right section for this question. I was interested in getting the Westside Reverse Hyper Scout. I've heard mixed things about it, primarily in terms of the stability of the unit. Some say it barely moves while others do say it has a wobble to it.

Does anybody have one and can you speak about the pros and cons to it? I have been debating picking this up or picking something up like a Reverse Hammer (combo unit) from Bells of Stell but it would take up such a large footprint in my garage.

    Thanks fellas.

I don't own one, I actually own the original V1 release of the Westside RH which is a very compact piece to begin with, but my buddy has one, and he weighs roughly 220lbs and he says the unit isn't bad, but definitely not as sturdy as a standalone unit. He says it doesn't move to bad depending if you are on a flat portion of surface, but if it's isn't straight, it does move around, especially the heavier the lifter is.

I appreciate the input. It would be on a pretty flat surface so I guess that would help. I would love a combo unit but like I said it just eats up floor space so I figured something like the scout is a good alternative.

I recall reading a couple comments that it isn't easy to fold up so people leave it out all the time. Not sure if that is something for you to consider and my fading memory may be mistaken about it

I haven't heard about that issue. What makes it hard to fold up?

Yeah, I've heard people saying the same thing, folding it up back and forth becomes an issue, as is loading and unloading plates.

I literally haven't unloaded my RH in 7 years except for the one day I changed it's location.

I wouldn’t mind leaving it in a designated spot. Another issue seems to be the fact that you can’t put what appears to be many plates on it. I have 8 Rep Plates, 2 Ivanko 45s, a pair of 25s, then change plates. Granted I know you’re probably not suppose to go heavy with this movement but what’s the limit that the scout can handle?

Depends on what you mean by heavy, but I leave 3 plates on my RH. Sometimes I add or remove weight, but usually it starts there.

I guess heavy can be user based. I was just wondering how much can the weight holds hold but i'm assuming with this movement you aren't really meant to go heavy.

Asmanyrepsaspossible on posted on IG that Rogue increased prices on some barbells and the Echo Bike. $5-20 increase on bars, and $20 for the Echo Bike ($795).

Have Rogue Monster Racks always been made out of 11 gauge steel or were they originally made out of 7 gauge steel?

Original batch (no keyholes on sides...) had a 7g option.

Mech’s right. I have a v1 Rogue Monster rack and it’s 7g. Side holes are 1” spaced 2” center to center towards the top and bottom of the uprights...6” for the rest of sides of the uprights.

That's crazy. Recently I saw a an ad for a third party attachment and it had a monster rack but it had a sticker on the upright like monster light and noticed it had the same side spacing. Didn't know the rack was also potentially 7g

RM-690 is what I ordered, and no color options at the time. Just like this except the nameplate just has Rogue (not Rogue Fitness...I think that one was the first nameplate design they had) and I had them switch a few things (30” crossmembers, XM-43m multi grip pull-up bar, and safety straps).

Original Or Monster V1 had option for 7g for uprights only .Cross members are 11g

Side Cross members did not have holes on the 4 sides .
Top side cross members have full flange with 6” hole spacing just like bottom side cross members

As per uprights yes front and back 2” non key hole spacing . Sides 6” hole spacing with sticker that says Monster

I have the rack and mine is 30”’depth

I also have RM-3 ,2.0 with key holes

Was planning to make apex rack with CC on one side and LP on other but new Rogue Monster cave Rack is disappointing

Wonder what what happened to rack attached plate loaded LP option which was posted on Bill’s IG back in Dec 2019

Might have go with Williams strength for rack attached plate loaded option for both LP and CC but both extend quiet a bit on the front
