The Evil Geniuses in Rogue's marketing Department strike again:

I've been wanting some machined iron plates to replace the worst of my crappy Craigslist/department store plates, and waited until Black Friday/November to do it. I shopped around but mainly was considering Rep, Rogue and Troy.

Then after I saw Rep's and Troy's Black Friday deals, I figured out that between Hundo pricing & 5 for $5 shipping, + ease of resale and price of resale in my area, carry the 1, subtract the square root of the hypotenuse, the best deal financially for the sizes I wanted, would be Rogue's calibrated plates. So, even though I have no interest in competing, I have on the way pairs of calibrated 45s, 35s, 25s, 10s, and 5s, and 2 pairs of 2.5s (needed the extra 5 pounds to nudge over to Hundo pricing), all on the way to my door for $600, shipping & tax included. I got the e-coat factory second 1s, because I don't care what they look like and I understand the regular paint may chip too easily.

I'm just the average Joe trying to stay fit, alternately roasting and freezing in my garage, and now I'll be slinging around competition-level plates, even though they are way over-kill for me and I wasn't really looking for them, just because they are the best deal the way the math worked out. Is this a great country or what?

Actually quite disappointed with their black friday stuff. was expecting some big high end pieces. Have no interest in their old rml racks let alone their new rml racks...and really almost nothing new other than little worthless trinkets. Was hope for the actual slinger not this half assed crap that looks like something rep fitness would make and some machines like the lat pulldown machine that was teased along with the seal row. Their black friday deals good for plates but any sort of high end stuff seems very rare.

I ordered their Multi-belt last week for my belt squat attachment coming soon and received it yesterday evening...good thing I didn't wait because not only is the belt not discounted, but it now appears to be "Out of stock" on their site.

Was thinking Rogue was going high end but it appears not really. They have made very little of their purchase of Nebula and Reflex. I love my monster rack, rhino and westside and other rogue stuff but they need to have a bigger line of stuff...was hoping it was going to get more like elitefts/williams which sell just about everything. Rogue's machines outside the rhino have been a total embarassment. the slinger is just pathetic.

What's your opinion on the Adjustable Bench 2.0? Is it really stupidly heavy for moving around tight area? I've heard some reviewers say the adjustable angles are not optimal for proper incline benching and turning it into glorified delt exercise. Any thoughts?

BTW, when is the next Rogue sale if I missed some of the deals?

Not really an interesting Black Friday sale this year from Rogue. Feels like i was expecting a little more for some reason. I did however like that they finally released the fully stainless/stainless steel OPB though. I’ll definitely have to add it to my list.

Any thoughts on this wrist roller? Thought about using it with my rack. Waste of money if I have the T-bar row attachment and do DL a lot?

I have the rep zero Gap and I'm sure it's equally heavy and overbuilt. Just make sure you use proper form when lifting from the end . Lol. The wheels and fact that it stands on end has made weight a non issue. Coop on garage gym reviews reviewed a prime fitness bench and it was super nice and light.

First, if I was to get a new bench today it would be one of the higher end Rep offerings. I've messed with their zero gap and think it's a fabulous piece and well under priced for market

To your question. I have the Rogue Adjustable 1.0 and love it. Has flat, incline, low incline and military settings which is all I need. It's a heavy piece but I have no issue moving it nor does my girlfriend who is pretty slender of build and just getting into stuff. I'd be fine with it as my sole bench though I run a Fat Pad on a custom flat bench frame also. Rogue's pad and texture are great. I'd hope all of that carried over to the 2.0 and honestly your post is the first I've heard that anyone has complained about it so not 100% sure.

BTW, when is the next Rogue sale if I missed some of the deals?
I own the Adjustable 2.0 version and like it a lot, since the bench is in my dedicated rack area for barbell work (I have a separate room for DBs with my Legend 3-way bench in there), I think the angles are just right and rock solid for incline bench (at 30° along with the slightly inclined seat pad setting) and military press positions and of course a complete tank when in the flat position.

The pads are solid with pretty much no give to them which is great in my opinion and yes it's heavy at 128 lbs, however really no issue with the handle and wheels and I have it in a tight space inside my garage and trust me any ounce of space in there is a blessing for sure cause it's quite cramped in there.

The only downside about the bench is Rogue's price on it (I lucked out and scored a nice deal on it used, but in perfect condition)...other than that all the other cons are minor nitpicks (it's a simple and to the point adjustable bench with really nice features and protective features to assure that it'll stay in pristine shape for a long time down the road).

I just recently purchased this actually. It's a well built piece. The rack attachment is for the monster-light series though, and I would need a monster series attachment to better fit my rack. Otherwise, it works the forearms well and I like it. I'm not into DIY solutions these days, so I'm glad I made the purchase.

I got these plates and have a couple of workouts with them. They're nice! They are very snug on the bar, and it's nice not to have a difference of several pounds from 1 side of the bar to the other. I saw on Rogue's site a review by a guy who is upset with these plates because 1 of his had such a gouge in it that it won't sit flat against the other plates, and Rogue won't do anything about it--I'd be upset about that, too. On mine, a couple of them have nicks and scuffs but nothing they won't get soon enough anyway from use--I'd have accepted those as 1st-run quality. 1 of the 35s has a couple of spots of touch-up paint that are easily visible; that WOULD be a disappointment if they were not sold as 2ds. As it is, I'm quite happy with them.

ETA: I just popped back over the Rogue's website & saw that the post by the guy who was unhappy with these plates has been deleted. Hmmm.....

Similarly I was on the roller attachment page for their reverse hyper. It has a known flaw in that it locks out at the top and requires another hinge in either the RH arm or another attachment. Tons of bad reviews over the years are now gone.

Is it safe to use the SAML-24 spotter arms without the orange hitch pins? The holes are blocked at certain height on my SML-2 squat rack.

Anyone experiencing shipping delay from Rogue? Placed an order for the Echo Bike, Adjustable Bench 2.0 and some other stuff for $5 ship for 5 on Sunday but still stuck in the pre-quality check stage. I thought they ship everything out on the same day before the 3pm cutoff.

Hard to hang that on Rogue...they simply just reproduced the designs that Louie handed them when he parted ways with Legend. This was a known flaw with Legend for years. The RH was redesigned with a joint in the pendulum to allow for a greater ROM, now why Rogue didn't add that simple little feature is a great question. While I've used both versions extensively, the newer design with the joint on the pendulum is better, but in most cases, people over extend with too light of weight and that's really what's causing that lockout...you don't need to go that high. That said, strap is still better anyways with or without the joint.

Ordered curl bar + some tshirts and a hoodie on black Friday. Received the bar today and the clothes says won't be here until Monday.

I didn't order anything this year, but the stuff I ordered MBF 2018 took several weeks to arrive. When I inquired about it, they said they often get backed up due to the huge jump in sales during MBF.

No, but I ordered some custom parts just before BF and received everything within a day or two (but I'm local so I picked up).
