They have a note on the page that says: "These plates are being sold at discount due to minor cosmetic paint issues. Plates are in new condition. All sales are final." I don't consider rust strictly a cosmetic issue though. As an aside, it doesn't look like Rogue makes these plates. It appears they're made in CN by a 3rd party - something Rogue isn't very upfront about it. Rather than saying made in CN, the simply omit the "Made in the USA" label.

Thanks Duplititous. Radrd had pointed out that the KG plates have the "These plates are being sold at discount due to minor cosmetic paint issues. Plates are in new condition. All sales are final" warning. Thing is, these are the LB versions and not the KG version. Rogue doesn't give that heads-up on the pound version. They might want to update.

End result is Rogue did make it right. Contacted them and let them know 5 of the 6 plates were rusted and included pics. They offered 10% back or to replace them. Went with replacements and asked them to open and inspect prior to shipping. Two days later 3 sets showed up where they obviously were open and checked. All are fine. Contacted them to get the damaged ones back and they said to just keep them. Now have (14) calibrated 5lb plates kicking around.
