Here's proof for my application. Bare steel OHP came today. 15 lb technique bar and small deadlift jack lurking in the background.

So I'm moving to a new home where a bolt-down rack is no longer a good option. I sold my R3 w/ a few add-ons last week on CL (for $600 if people are curious.. it took 1 day to sell listed at $650), and 'upgraded' to the Rogue RML-390F flat foot monster lite 3x3 rack w/ a few accessories.
I didn't need 3x3, obviously, as the R3 is a TANK, but the option to put the accessories on any side was a selling point for the 3x3, as was the necessity to have the 'flat foot' option. I went with the strap safeties, sandwich j-hooks, matador, spud lat pull down, & 3" pull-up spheres. It should be coming in today! (6 working days after I placed the order) Pictures coming soon....Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

I've had my RML-390F for several months now and am very happy with it. The 3x3 is nice for mounting things on any side and I think the extra weight helps keep stationary, although it does move slightly on aggressive re-racks. Sounds like you got some nice accessories for it. I have my eye on those strap safeties and sandwich J-hooks myself... I'll be curious to know how you like them.

Cool. Good to hear people liking the RML-390F. I'll post my thoughts on those accessories. I had the safety straps on my R3.. Loved them for squats and used the pins/pipes for bench press. The sandwich J-hooks are a splurge but I plan to have this thing for a long time. I liked that they have a narrow footprint so racking the bar should be similar to my R3.
Dang shipment got delayed to Tuesday due to me living outside the city.. Ah well.Equipment Crew #68, Ivanko Crew #47, Rogue Barbell Club #7, Mech6 Crew #30

Any company that still manufactures most of its stuff in the USA is alright with me and gets my business whenever possible (even if I find crossfit strange and a little douchy but to each his own). Therefore my application for membership is attached.

Just got an e-mail back from Rogue - "We are still planning on coming out with a Multi Grip Bar with knurled handles. We're expecting it to be in here in about a week or so."
Also, they just released the Euro Steel Rogue OLY Bar: http://www.roguefitness.com/euro-28mm-olympic-wl-barGarage Gym Owner

From the reviews I've read on the OPB the knurling sounds pretty good. Haven't used it so can't speak from first hand experience. If I hadn't bought a Texas Power Bar last year I would have grabbed the Ohio Power Bar. I've yet to read a bad review of it.
The Ohio bar's knurling is in the middle between passive and aggressive. You can a good hook grip in, but it bights in under heavy loads too. The knurl seems to vary on the finish. The zinc finish seems to be not as aggressive as the black oxide.

I've had bare OHP for a couple of weeks now and really like it. I've been very happy with the knurling -- more aggressive than my OB-20, but not "cheese grater" sharp. Grippy enough for heavy pulls, but no issues with sets of 8-12 on presses or squats (I've got a Rep Fitness Excalibur for Oly lifts).
The bar spins *really* well too. This was mentioned in an earlier review, but I'm very impressed very surprised at how well it spins. It doesn't matter for my use, but others may be interested.[]---[] Equipment Crew #73 []---[]

New OSO Barbell collars, I can see why they started selling them. Now they have Rogue engraved on them. Similar to the old style but less flimsy looking.

OPB knurling is dangerous:
After doing a set of seated overhead presses (low ceiling in basement) I rested with my forearms on the bar. Got up and dragged arm across knurling and it sliced me open looked like alley cat attack. But on the good side once I got the bar I stopped using lifting straps for good it sticks like glue to the hand.Giving unwanted advice to gym goers for years.

Big fan of those collars. However, be careful unlocking. They are snappy and will whack some fingers good. Also, don't leave them locked long when not in use. I left them on overnight when I first got them and some rubber residue came off and stuck to my TPB (came off with a little oil though, just annoying). Otherwise, work great and have held up so far including being dropped several times.
