Well, I can confirm Rogue isn't joking about their Curl bar turn around time. Ordered it back on the 7th and still no shipping notification, think I ordered my plates a day or two before and they are already here!

Agreed, I bought some DBs and plates off a guy and he was selling an AB Mammoth bar for $280 but the knurling was pretty passive so I passed on it.

Still no Satin Clear from Rogue. I liked its raw look and contrast against the black attachments like jcups and flip down safeties. Standby options include White, Black, Red, Dark Blue, Light Gray, and Gun Metal.

Even White has a chance, but my old Parabody rack is white and reminds me of gym equipment from the 80's & 90's.

Anybody have good pics of the last three to share?

I find it’s not very aggressive knurling with the cerakote , and a little less aggressive than the black zinc .
But I bought the cerakote for looks anyways , as it’s just there for show . I’m a fan of Rogue bars though , as all five of these are Rogue .

Yeah I sold my Mammoth bar as I was pretty underwhelmed by it. Nice bar and great quality, but the knurl was pretty smooth for a power bar and with the color of the cerakote, I was having trouble seeing the knurl rings, especially when bench pressing. I pretty much only go with stainless shafts these days (south Louisiana humidity has a lot to do with that).

My 3X aggro has been sold (thank u Fb Marketplace! Even with shipping, you can actually make some money back compared to eBay & their crazy fees). MAN that bar was aggressive. Really unpleasant to use, IMO. I haven't really heard any opinions on the 2X, not that I have Any desire for one at this point.. was just curious. My AB Elite power bar is my main "every day" power bar, so I'm just looking to add one more 29m with a "more aggressive" knurl pattern. We'll see what shakes out. I honestly would love a Kabuki power bar if the price wasn't so ridiculous (and no stainless???). I may check out Rep's power bars...

In other random Rogue news... I bought some (expensive) pairs of urethane dumbbells from them maybe 6 months ago-ish, and quality was really all over the place. I ended up selling as the different textures, bubbles in the finish, etc. were just ticking me off for the price paid. I have since given Rep fitness a try on their (basically the same product) urethane dumbbells and the two pairs I've bought so far have been perfect and Much, much cheaper... sooo not to trash on Rogue too much here, b/c I love their Made in US products, but if you're going for some urethane dumbbells, REP is definitely winning on price and quality there.

Rackable curl bar came today, looking pretty good! Some weird lines in the areas around the bends, I'm assuming that's just a byproduct of bending the steel. Coating looks good, the sleeves seem decent (although ribbed), and the knurling is fairly passive. BUT, I will say the bends on this bar are near PERFECT! The only bar I'd say came close was the Ivanko I owned, very happy with this one

Great bar for curling in the squat rack. I have an extra pair of j hooks on my front posts for curls and “skull crushers”.
    Enjoy the bar.

I originally had a black zinc OPB for years, sold it last year and got the Rep deep knurl power EX bar and have been very happy with it. The knurling is more aggressive on the Rep bar and took me a few sessions to get used to it. It’s been my go to bar since getting it.

I believe the Griffin SS Power bar is the same or very similar to the Rep Power EX bar and it sometimes goes on sale ($25 off for Father’s Day, $50 for the 4th of July). Might be worth looking into and maybe it’ll go on sale for Veterans Day and/or Black Friday:

Still have holes to drill, but the first mono is installed! Played with fire on this purchase, knowing I could only really have 4" adjustments on the Mono's with Legend's numbers already cut into the sides. Think it's going to pay off though, the squat height feels good so I'm hoping the same with bench.

I need help! Anyone run 3 top crossmembers on an RM6?

I ordered the rack a couple of days ago with the Monster top beam with gusset (non-nameplate) and regular pull-up bar. I wasnt going to bolt it down so I ordered the Monster rear stabilizer. The rack is going up against the wall so I dont care about walking out the rear. I happened to come across this old 2018 thread where the poster put up his swaying RM6 on Youtube; its down now but I remember seeing it at the time: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...165631&page=5&

He didn't have the nameplate crossmember either so I wondered if that was part of his problem. I got nervous and made a couple of changes.

My current flat foot rack is rock solid and the last thing I wanted to do was spend the money on a new rack and not be happy with its stability versus a 25 year old Parabody.

I subbed out the Monster 43" Monster top beam for the XM-43N nameplate crossmember since that attaches at two points that are 16.5" apart versus 8" for the regular crossmember. I also added the XM-43M multi-grip crossmember to the order. With the idea of gusseting the corners of the rack: mounting the multi-grip up-front, the name plate in it usual place, the single pull-up bar on the far rear top and the stabilizer in the bottom rear of the rack.

So yea....I'm sure I over did it. Worst case I have an extra pull-up bar that doesn't get mounted to the rack and I lose a few bucks, or I could still make another change before it's too late.

Oh and yeah I have to mount the multi-grip crossmember inverted becasue my ceiling height is less than 94". Hopefully no one will tell me that wont work.

Will I still have enough room to overhead press in the rack with the multi-grip crossmember installed? I dont mean directly below it, but in between that crossmember and the nameplate.

    What would you change here?

With Rogue's 49" width, you'll be bumping the plates constantly if you try to OHP inside the rack. But I think having less than 7'10" ceilings is your first problem.

It was always tbd if I was going to ohp in the rack to be honest. But with the inverted 17” monkey bar I’m literally boxing myself into the rack.

I dealt with it a different way and added Monster Spotter Arms to my order. This way I'm covered to press overhead outside the rack and can do pin presses too (!).

New guy here. Just doing my research. Did you mean EVA foam? That’s all that comes up on google, not EVO.

Why not 2 layers of 3/4 ply? What’s the purpose of the foam? Moisture?

Non-lifting related Napoleon grills has always bragged about being Canada made and I have bought two of their grills but now they have a cheaper line that is sold in big box stores and yep; made in China. So depends on what model you buy and what retailer you buy from.
Ironically the napolean Chinese made grills are the “rogue” models. Lol.

How are the new rogue plates holders? Legend racks weld them at a slight up angle. Rogues look level? Is this an issue with plates sliding?

Update on the new Rogue Mono's, I've had them for numerous sessions now and I really like them. They could definitely make improvements on a couple things, but they are the best option outside of finding Mech's on the used market. First off, the J-cup area is TOOOO long. When racking the Barbell with heavy weight you hit the back, then there is a huge drop forward to the front lip. Second, they REALLY need to add a second set of holes on the side like Mech, would allow for 1" adjustments and wouldn't increase the cost much. Lastly, what I like most about them, is with the position of the grip area sliding them up and down the uprights is a breeze! This is probably the only area where they beat Mech aside from quality, they are more compact and it's easier to make adjustments with having side pins that just slide in. The UHMW seems very durable as well, MUCH better than the junk Titan was using on their Titan Series.
