Ok, I thought I remembered them being 7 gauge. Been considering getting a set of uprights (possibly squat stands) so that I could use Rogue accessories, especially the Jammer Arms. Maybe find a way to attach them to the back side of my half rack.

Anyone else think it's a poor decision on the new "cave" rack to only have the slinger option in the 90" model? The slinger pulley adds 7" to height, so if you want the weight stack models you need a 110" ceiling. That rules out most basements.

I've been looking at this piece hard and thinking about it quite a bit, so I'll chime in with my take.

The dual swivel weight stack slingers option comes with two 300-lb 1:1 ratio weight stacks. You can get it in either the 90" or 100" height options for the uprights, bringing the total heights for that option to either 97" or 107" when adding in the height of the slinger to the height of the upright. They also have an option to add in a rack-mount low pulldown seat.

The CT-1 and LP-2 are both made at Reflex and come in at 108" and can only be added to the 100" height option.

My question, if I were to buy one of these for a basement (would have to align anything above 104" in between floor joists), what feat of strength and time it would take to get the CT-1 and LP-2 down into the basement. It is recommended to have a fork lift to even move the fully assembled thing from the curb or driveway - it would be a bear to get it from the curb, disassemble it, get it downstairs, and reassemble. I'll call this the Prime Prodigy HLP dilemma.

Now if the slinger option doesn't come fully assembled, then that would be a hell of a lot easier to get downstairs, and functionally, it looks pretty good as a pulldown/low row when you consider the 1:1 ratio. But you would still need the clearance to fit something at minimum 97" tall, and the cable appears to hang down pretty low, so full range of motion would need to be tested to make sure it's as functional as a pulldown.

My problem is that I have a functional trainer that I love, but am in need of a rack and would love to have a pulldown. It would be awesome if Rogue expands the capabilities of this thing - to have a rack in the middle, a pulldown on one side, and something else not currently offered on the Cave page on the other side. A rhino belt squat would be an ideal addition, but don't know how to make it work from an alignment and space-saving standpoint - if anyone wants to chime in on that, thanks in advance!

You should be able to take the weight stacks out from the guide rods to make it lighter/easier to move...I recall prime replying to a comment saying the same thing for their HLP rack.

Eh. If you're lucky enough to get nice ones. I ordered about 5 pairs and 2 pair were phenomenal (nice matte finish with fine texture and no quality issues). These was awesome and what I expected to receive when paying what they're asking. The other 3 pair were a slick shiny black on the urethane with small bubbles & imperfections in the finish. Rogue offered credit on them, but said it was "just cosmetic" and did not effect function. Yeah, that's cool and all when you're buying cheap dumbbells, but when spending that kinda change on them, I guess you could say I had high expectations. I just sold all mine rather than trying to complete the set. Good luck. I would at least try Rep Fitness over Rogue as they look like they come from the same factory and you will spend a good bit less on Rep's.

I have the American Barbell series 1 and series 4 urethane dumbbells and I think they are a lot nicer than the rogue ones. I have from 5lbs - 130lbs and the quality on each of them is great. Also they’re made in America, if you care about that.

Can anyone tell me the specs/size of the hex screws that Rogue uses on the UHMW on their Monster attachments? I live in Hawaii and all of these screws started rusting bad the first week I got them. So I want to replace them with stainless steel screws. I wasn’t able to find the right screws at my local hardware store, so I gotta try ordering some online but I’m not sure what the right size is. If anyone could point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it. Thanks

I would contact rogue. Bring a screw to the hardware store with you, they usually have a gauge to check size.
Soak your rusty screws in vinegar and wire brush to get rust off if needed.

Are you sure they're made in the US? The Series 1 mentions US-made handles, but that's it, so I suspect they ship the handles to China where the rest of the dumbbell is made and assembled. The series 4 doesn't mention the US at all.

I guess it could be wrong, but I was told they are made in American. And anecdotally, when I ordered my 105lbs - 130lbs series 1’s, they didn’t have them in stock, and had to make them special for my order, but the turnaround was only like 3 or 4 weeks. I assume a special order would take much longer going China.

As far as I know of, Ivanko's rounded and Iron grips are the only urethanes made in USA, typically companies either make the handles in the US or label their item as "Assembled in the US"

What about them that makes them better than the rogue urethane ones?

Rogue finally came out with crossmembers shorter than 24”. Today they released the Monster Lite half rack and you have an option for 17” or 24” crossmembers.
    https://www.roguefitness.com/monster-lite-half-rack

Now they just need to make shorter crossmembers for Monster racks.

I never understood why the 6 post racks had such long crossmembers on the back, this makes a lot more sense.

Makes it a non-hassle to get inside for spotting bench, lowering or loading my belt squat or whatever so I don't mind but the six post racks are enormous.

I've slacking on watching the boneyard and a bar I've needed for several years just made it's way into the boneyard and was sold out over the weekend. Damn! Why did I slack off!?!?! You really can't skip watching these websites daily for deals during the pandemic if you want the deals!

The length of their 6 posts racks was the main reason why I didn't consider them. Like the racks and accessory options but the 6 posts ones had such a large footprint

I requested the 30” crossmembers when I ordered my RM-6 rack, then got 15” crossmembers from Mech6 later on to replace the 24” crossmembers. Length ended up being 54”. I recently added another pair of uprights and used Rep 16” crossmembers and the standard RM-6 is still longer (73” vs. 76” RM-6).

Looks like prices increased at Rogue for a number of products. Ex. Rogue Rhino stand alone is now $1855 (was $1750).

Now they just need to make shorter crossmembers for Monster racks.
Just got on and saw this today, looks like a nice half rack option! Have a feeling these will become more popular and we might see a Titan option in the future. At least with youtubers like BasementBrandon and GarageGym finally giving them some attention. I could never go back to a full rack setup, it's either 3/4 or half rack. Half rack getting the nod because it's just so easy swapping bars in/out of the rack.

For those in Ohio, someone posted on the home gym community FB group that you can now pickup orders at Rogue HQ.

The massive footprint was one of the reasons I went with a Titan extension for my Rogue RML rack (cost was the other).

Where'd you get those flip down safeties? Never seen those on an RML before.
