Maybe for a super stiff wrap, even with a wrist that size I would not buy less than 18", 24" would be good too. there's no reason you couldn't use a 24" wrap just fine and that's all I would buy if you had to go for rogue...
I've had 12", 18", and 24" rogue white wraps before I smartened up and just got something better. the 24" white wraps aren't that bad while they're fresh, you just have to crank them down more. you will be wanting to replace them every coulple months though so might as well get something that lasts longer.

Does anyone know if the operator 2.0 bar has plastic composite bushings? It says brass on the website but i wanted to be sure

I have a question regarding pin/pipe safties in my R3 ... can you just use the pins and forget about the pipes? I dont see how they really help anyways and this would make adjusting a lot faster/easier.

To be completely clear, with the pin alone, if you drop a lift the pin alone can flex quite a bit -- 2 or 3 inches easily with a fairly light lift -- and with a heavier lift one end of the pin can bend and pull right out of the uprights. The sleeve prevents the pin from bending or even from flexing on a light load. It's critical to the safety of your safeties. I see gyms who only use the pins, but I've dropped an old bent bar on them intentionally and pulled the pins right out, even if they have the little cotter pins on the back like on Legends. They aren't enough.

From what I have read, the give of the pin and the bounce of the pipe reduces the force to the bar making it less likely to bend.
With the pipe on, the pin still bends but not enough to pull out of the rear holes.
Maybe some physics types can explain this.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

I don't think that would be the case. The force absorbed that way would be tiny compared to what the lift is imposing on the safeties. Rather, the pipe stiffens the pin so the joint assembly takes a lot more weight to flex enough so it pulls through. I saw a guy trying to squat 850 lbs, drop it, and it went right through both a pin and pipe on a Legend Fitness rack, partly because he had it tipped well over and the weight really hit one safety really hard. (It's the kind of failure that wouldn't happen with swing-out safeties because they are so rigid -- at least as long as they are on a pretty rigid frame. One reason to favor 7 ga over 11 ga uprights is not for vertical loading but because they won't flex and allow a swing-out safety to fail with a heavy lift.) In short, the difference is simply that you go from perhaps a 5/8" pin to a combined 1-1/4" thickness. This doubles the diameter of the effective bar, but increases the cross-sectional area from 0.3 sq in to 1.23 sq in, a four-times increase in cross-sectional area. And when you consider how much stiffness and strength you get from going just from a 28 mm bar to a 29 mm one, this four-times increase has a much greater impact yet on the load it can take when it has to absorb a dropped lift.

Bench is a full 20" now...you gain 2" with the fat pad. It bolts right in the same holes as the previous pad...really easy install. The pad is not as firm as the original pad...I thought the original Rogue pad was REALLY firm - basically a thin dense pad over plywood - very basic. The fat pad is pretty much in between the original pad and my (now gone) BodyMasters 0-90° pad which was pretty soft IMO. Hopefully, I can provide more insight once I use it for bench.
But honestly - it's a total luxury purchase. You can almost buy another bench ($175) for the price of the Fat Pad ($155).Garage Gym Owner

So does my new (to me from CL) RML 690 to go with my 2.0 flat bench get me a number? If so I'll take #54.

Hey guys, I have a question for you all.
I just recently bought a OHPB and the Bella 2.0 (for my gf), both black zinc finish. Now our house closing date is NOT until September 2016 so for the next 12 months they will be stored in my parents' basement. I've only opened the OHP tube so far just to check it out but I put it back in. Now my issue is will I need to do any maintenance on these bars at all if I'm not using them? I live in Toronto so I'm not sure if that plays any role with regards to humidity. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. And don't mine the user name, I made this a long time ago :$

Actually, to have two bars sit for a year, with any skin oil or acid on them and with temperature fluctuations, I'd say better to be safe than sorry. Take the bars out, use any kind of vinyl or nitrile gloves just so you don't get skin oil on them (which can induce rusting on long-term storage), and spray the bars with Boeshield. Machine oils, WD40, etc. serve to clean and lubricate but do not protect against rust. Bars from Rogue come in plastic sleeves with a fairly viscous oil on the bar. Boeshield is specifically formulated to resist rust. Then put them back in the bag, seal it securely, and replace in the tube. A year from now, you'll use a can of WD40 to clean off the Boeshield, and the bar will look new. Zinc can still rust through easily, especially with all the edges and corners one finds on a bar (knurling is nothing but corners, right?). After a year, properly sealed, the lubricant in the sleeves should be fine but you might need to add a little oil (something like hypoid gear oil or automobile motor oil, not WD40) if they have dried out slightly. Otherwise, that's about it.

Same with mine. It was just inside the tube and as I opened one end the bar was not covered with anything and it did not feel oily. I don't know about the Bella 2.0 because that one is still sealed. Hmm I guess I will do basic maintenance every 4 months to find a good middle ground. I honestly don't know why it would rust in the first place, and if it will, I hope it will only be very minimal to a point where it is almost unnoticeable.
Anyways thanks for the input guys.
My home gym will still take another year to come together, but I've already got the rogue utility 2.0, the 2 bars I mentioned, and the deadlift jack (which by the way looks to be a solid piece of equipment). Thinking of getting the R3 for my rack. Really wanted mech6 for the rack but my taxable benefits only allow for some recognizable online stores, but I digress.

I dont believe that is good info. the zinc coated bar will be fine. If they do rust while sitting in storage, just contact rogue and they will replace them under warranty.
also the only one I know of that comes in a bag with-in the tube is the OLY bar.
I am also pretty sure none come with a coating of oil, maybe the bare steel ohio power bar (i am not sure either way), but none of the zinc coated ones.Best Raw total 1850 at 181 lbs
