Best chelseas you can get at a decent price are probably Story Et Fall (at least if you're looking for something similar to the SLP aesthetic), made bespoke and good year welted. They're about 200 bucks.

I think they're super ugly but it's his choice, he said we could buy another boot as long as it's plain black.

I don't want to drop that money on something that is probably crap quality, I'd rather invest in something better upto $300-$400 USD.

What silhouette would be similar? Red Wing? Wolverine 1k mile? Viberg is probably a tad outside my price range?

We weren't, or at least I wasn't, hating on Chelsea boots. I have done plenty of Chelsea pic dumps and plan to get some myself. I was hating on those horrible high heel buckle shoes that were posted last page (50 posts per page alpha race).

edit - gt, I love your pics. Do you have a timer or have someone taken them? Loving that outfit as a whole, too. I wish my 511s still fit, but it got to the point where I couldn't even bend down without the fear of ripping. My 508s are much better.

Yeah I'm the same way. I have a lot of outerwear but I can't stop buying it. I always look for the BR peacoat to go on sale as well but haven't found a good enough one yet to justify pulling the trigger. I'm patient though. Last year I bought a Jcrew ludlow topcoat I had been wanting for a couple years. End of season sale and I snagged it for $200 instead of $475.

This year I plan on buying a camel topcoat, BR peacoat if I can find it, and a navy topcoat (probably the one from Uniqlo). Have been looking at suede bombers as well but the one I like on Bonobos is $600, fukkkkkk. Probably going to find a blue Mac jacket as well.

Also have a list of blazers and shoes to buy next. Gonna be an expensive fall season.
