Goddamn that left hook to the temple prior to the KO reminded me of the one from Ruiz that knocked the soul out of Joshua.

I'm a huge Canelo stan but still had Kova up by a round or two before the KO. Canelo always gets it done though, another realm at the moment.

Canelo at 175 doesn't look nearly as good as he does in his 160's, very slow and more reserved. Hopefully he goes back down after this fight. Also had Kov up a round or two before the KO.

I’m not a fan of canelo ever since his previous fights where he’d be slow as hell only moving around and dodging but this time around he came to fight. More mobile, throwing more punches and knocking out kovalev very nicely. That little combo was sweet

Beterbiev would absolutely murk Canelo IMO. I don't see Canelo going anywhere close to him. Bivol would probably out point him. Wonder what the gingers next move will be.

There's levels to boxing. The only person who could beat Canelo at 175 would've been Andre Ward who is retired. Step out of your feelings for one minute and try to think about this logically

Boring zzz fight. Russian danced too much. His reach and height I guess gave him too much confidence, cause Canelo wasn’t having it. Stayed closed and didn’t give ground.

Why do you think Canelo chose to fight Kovalev out of the 3 (4 at the time the fight was announced until Beterbiev unified) light heavyweight champs? Because it was the easiest matchup of them. Kovalev is clearly past his prime. Canelos whole playbook is adopted from Mayweather and it's quite clear. Avoid the hardest competition (ala GGG when Canelo vacated the middleweight belt the first time to avoid fighting him) until they age past their prime, then face them.

Beterbiev would destroy Canelo. He's way too strong, has way too good of a chin, and has amazing stamina. BUT he's getting older. Give it 3 years and it might be a different story.

Calling someone a casual who disagrees with you is weak, and your argument for a 34yr old russian fighter with 15 pro fights under his belt being able to beat in most peoples eye the pound for pound king is even weaker. WHo has Beterbieve beat? Anyone of merit? How old is he again? Not only is Kovalev a better boxer than Beter, he's the more experienced fighter. I was learning and watching boxing while you were still swimming around in your daddy's nutsack, and am also a two time golden glove winner. THere's a thing called skill gap in boxing. It's why guys like Andre Ward could move all the way up to heavyweight and still be successful, i wouldn't expect someone who's never been in the ring to fully comprehend those 2 words "Skill Gap", but that mean's a lot in the game of boxing, whether you wanna accept it or not. Again, stop being an overly emotional woman and try to think about this objectively. Thanks.

Ruiz was supposed to go to gym in July he came september 16 pounds heavier. i think fame got into his head, good display by AJ, i didnt think he would fight this smart. u can see some part of the fights he really wanted to let go and bag but he was smart to start circling again.

i dont think AJ can beat Wilder or Fury, lets se are they gonna give AJ a BS fight or really feed him to the winner of Tyson and wilder?

AJ said he had a medical condition that was sapping his energy and making him tired all the time before Ruiz 1. After that fight he had "an operation" (I assume he means surgery) and now he's fine. He won't say what the condition was.

Any guesses? I don't know what kind of conditions causing chronic fatigue can be repaired by apparently minor surgery. If it was thyroid or testosterone I would think it would have been apparent in his physique. So I guessing something else. But can't imagine what.
