Bish thanks for your concern. It's been a crazy past month. I have really appreciated how you have kept the chains group inspired and going. I'm dealing with some difficult things in my personal life that at some point I will go into. But I just kind of felt like my situation was hopeless and porn and fapping made the pain go away at least for a moment. Of course it didn't help but simply made everything worse. I honestly don't know the answer I know right now if it wasn't for Tobias sending me a message on FB and telling me that V6 was up that I would have delayed restarting yet another day.

Tobias just watched the introduction video and I have to say that was amazing ..... my first thoughts were wow he has really grown as a person. I loved the way you layed things out. Great insights that you have gained and the positive way you presented them. Second I am deeply humbled by your kind words and honestly they couldn't have come at a more critical time. Just wanted to encourage you to hang in there with this. Speaking from someone who has been married a lot longer than you. I will say that at some point it will start messing with your marriage and over time the porn addiction just gets more and more ingrained.

Izzo, how about maybe dropping the thought of telling the therapist about porn and fapping? I think its too much on your plate and will cause you some anxiety and in the end you wont end up going. (ie you'll chicken out)

Just know that there not there to judge you in any way. I think if you do those two things it should relieve a lot of your anxiety/fear.

I think a good place for you to start is to talk about your social anxiety. In the first session they might ask whats bringing you there. You can just say you want some support in dealing with your social anxiety, and that you have never had a girlfriend and lack confidence to get one (totally understandable) (if thats the case?) and that you want to build your self esteem and that you want to overcome your internet addiction since your wasting a lot of your time. Something like that. Its up to you what you want to talk about and what you want to reveal. After the first session its going to be smooth sailing. Just dont procrastinate on it due to fear of judgement or what ever. You might let this go for another year and then do it and look back and say "**** man, why didnt I do this a year ago".

I've never had a stash of porn stored on hard drives at all. I guess I got to porn late growing up during the boom of streaming sites. Even till this day I'm struggling with that. The main reason I got into this is because I believe masturbating to porn gave me mild ED.

So I've been reading some things about rebooting and decided it would be better to do both (no porn + no fap).

It's never been full on ED... but after the first time it happened, it started to get on my nerves, and so far it's happened again a couple of times

Idk if it's purely from the anxiety I developed after I couldn't get it up for the first time or it's because of the porn usage (never been really addicted to porn, but I would masturbate to porn a couple of times per week)

Either way, even if the ED is not from the porn usage, I think it's something that has to go. I want to get that fear of not being able to get it up with a new girl away from my head, and I am willing to try everything that makes sense
