Sadik looks awesome, huge fan of him and really respect him. well deserved win.
with that being said I'm not too impressed with most of the top 5. I've seen amateurs and other lesser known pros that IMO easily beat some of these guys. Anton looks solid but the other guys are pretty average. That Jason Poston guy has a super overrated physique, I have no idea how he always gets top placings. Kinda awkward shape/posing with a bad chest shape.
Hoping one day to be out there on that stage competing with some of these guys! I've never done a men's physique national show but probably will sometime in the next year, really gonna be grinding for a pro card!Last edited by XClassic10; 03-08-2015 at 02:44 PM.

Big fan of Sadik and I think his physique is amazing, but dang the dude has got to bring up his abs. Imagine him being on stage when his abs weren't washed out, he'd push himself that much further ahead of the competition. He's already leagues ahead of a lot the competitors, but if he were to bring his abs up then I see no reason why he wouldn't become the number 1 physique competitor in the IFBB. Already got amazing shape, great stage presence, aesthetic as hell, and a great ambassador.
On another note, I think someone to look out for is this Logan Franklin. He's got one hell of a physique that I can see being top 5 at the O/Arnold and he hasn't even done a pro show yet. We'll see how he looks in a few weeks at the governer's cup
Strong mind, strong body.

I second that. Sadiks physique is a work of art. Some of the other dudes have some pretty impressive physiques. However, I don't know how in the hell that Jason Poston guy keeps placing that far up, or at least, ahead of some of the other dudes. His posing is very awkward and his chest is lacking in fullness, making his chest to back ratio very unsymmetrical

Yeah i was surprised he placed so low, fantastic structure and insertions, conditioning wasn't as good as the others but I thought the whole point of men's physique was to be lean but not dry and shredded.
I'd have placed him higher, it's not like he's a nobody, guy's got 1.2M followers on instagram, that puts him ahead of EVERYONE in the fitness industry that I know of except for Arnold and Lazar Angelov. Obviously he has a major following outside of the US.
Although Sadik looked great, he's bordering on what I think men's classic bodybuilding should be. 200 lbs and shredded. Scale him up in height and he'd go toe to toe with Arnold.

Lol physique can be kind of a joke at times... they get it right some times but miss more often. I got 3rd place in my physique contest last june, although the head judge ******** messaged me after the show and told me that her and the other judges all had me in 1st but 'my tan was too light, faded me out and ultimately they have to judge based on the whole presentation', so I went from 1st and a potential overall to 3rd place because my tan was too light (I didn't pay for the competition tan, my friend tanned me with his own spray tan tent).... haha was pretty lamehttp://instagram.com/live_laugh_lift26

Not sure about bodybuilding poses, but maybe some different poses here and there. For sure I wish they would have boxer brief style trunks. Or compression shorts. Something that shows the thighs without being like bodybuilding trunks.
lol at Sadik making like he was drinking out of the trophy. That was funny.
Great to see Sadik take home the win for the 1st Men's Physique contest at the Arnold!
Agreed with folks that his only thing he needs to improve is to get the abs popping. Nevertheless, a very deserving champion!

That post about ViperGQ is confusing the heck outta me. He looks spot-on for physique to me...but suppose he really is too big. If he's too big, how did he get second to that guy next to him that looks even bigger? Sure the guy has a better taper, but he looks bigger and more bodybuilderish than Viper. Guess he made up for it with that size being put into a better taper?

IFBB and Men's Physique Logic at its finest... Franklin definitely deserved first at this show and everyone knew it. Great taper, great symmetry, awesome structure and muscle shape, yet he gets beat by that guy who literally looks the worst out of the top five? Imo it should have been
1) Logan Franklin
2) Darnell Ferguson
3) Tonnell Rodrigue
as the top 3. The rest are kind of interchangeable but IMO these 3 really set themselves apart from the pack. One could actually even make the argument that Ferguson and Franklin are interchangeable.. I just prefer Franklin's look.
Same thing has been happening with Felipe Franco also... Getting shafted. MP really is a joke aside from Sadik doing so well.Strong mind, strong body.

Guys, also keep in mind that stage presence explicitly counts in Men's Physique. It's kind of like Bikini in that way, hence why some people rag on it, calling it "Men's Bikini"
Stage presence isn't everything, obviously, but keep in mind that it is actually part of the judging criteria in Men's Physique. In other words, we can never tell how people should have placed based on pics alone. Body language comes into play. Personally though, I can never tell who is gonna win a Men's Physique show. I always end up picking Sadik, but that's just my bias.

Stealth, you don't have to post anymore, we've all gotten it:
"Let me spin decision XYZ and try and sell it in a way that agrees with the judges"
Yes you can spin any decision that the IFBB makes seeing as the sport champions it's subjectivity coupled with the immense criteria it has, but truth is truth and we all KNOW where they should place.
