So from 4 months of plateauing been skinny fat unable to get rid of the stomach fat I decided to lean bulk starting october 2014. i have attached pictures uptil end of FEB. I gained 4 kg and have decided to cut. I am pretty sure I gained some good muscle. Initial idea was to bulk for a year but I see my chest popping out of my shirt with the muscle pushing the fat out making the moobs so visible and annoying!
Is my decision to cut for 6-8 weeks targeting a 3-4 kg weight loss a good idea? Or should I stayed on the bulk?

I can see. Honestly, you still have some serious fat to lose. Forget bulking. You have to get skinny if you are going to lose that jelly-belly. It's hard to believe you weigh just 150. If that's the case, you look like you'd be best off making down to 135 and then, re-considering the idea of "bulking" at that point.

I am 156 now those stats are out of date.. I was cutting for over a year and I just could not anymore mental and my body was protecting the fat... unfortunately all my fat was concentrated at my belly and chest i looked like a twig after been obese. those pictures are taken at same time at night after dinner so I do look more bloated belly wise but in the morning before any meals I can see my upper abs outline if it.. when I do my 3 fold bod fat % measurement I have gone from 18% in October to 15.4 now mainly because of muscle gained... my idea is now to go on slow 3 month cut from now to may..

6lbs in 3 months isn't exactly optimal, you won't see much in terms of results and it's hard to measure 6lbs on the scale. So, what you need to do is use the mirror as a scale for your cut and go from there.
Find out your maintenance here: http://www.caloriecontrol.org/calcul...calculator-men
Cut out 100-300 cals from that and you're looking at close to a pound of fat per week if you keep up with your training.

Sorry I made an error there I aim to lose aproximately 4-5 KG in 3 months (most of it fat hopefully) this is 8-11 lbs... I started my cut on Monday but made a error by cutting my calories to nearly 500 below TDEE... I was then told that this is too drastic a change from when you are eating 200 KCAL above TDEE for the past 5 months i.e. the change of 700 kcal can be unhealthy for the body. I noticed it the last two days with a lot of headaches etc. I also dropped my carbs significantly for the last 3 days. I have been told carbs are not the enemy either so I am going to take your advice and start at 150 kcal below TDEE and then go from there.

carbs not being the problem is highly subjective. people parrot information like "all that matters is calories in vs calories out" like the sheep that they are. peoples bodies are different, and react to carb/fat ratios differently. carbs and insulin sensitivity can play a bigger role than people realize.
if youve never played around with reducing carb intake id highly suggest it

I can't go with 0 or Ketosis type based carb diets that is for sure (last time i tried i ended up with low blood pressure) added to that I just feel like absolutely dead during the day and I need to be able to work etc.. I will reduce carbs for sure but at slow rate... going from high carbs in a bulk to half that is a big decrease I think..

yes but i think before i had nothing to hold onto but now i feel i have a fighting chance.. as i have mentioned earlier I am going on a 3month cut with the purpose of getting lean.. I target 10% bf... I will of course lose muscle but hopefully not everything. I also read that the more muscle mass you have the eassier it is to cut...

A lot of people are ahead of me when it comes to this, and so I would take a look at their experiences. Here in this sub-forum, take a look in this thread: forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=166647921
The guy is 20 pounds LIGHTER, and look at his physique. I asked him to post his muscle-building routine because that's where I am at. I lost the fat for the most part. My goal is not to go as far as him, as I see it to be a bit unnatural-looking, but you have to admire what he did. Remarkably, but not surprisingly now that I have studied it and partly lived it, it came from a fair amount of weight-loss, which required steady cardio.
