Recently I started lifting for thenfirst time and doing more abs after I run. I ussually do abs every day after I run except for weekends. I decided to focus more on lower abs more than my upper to define them better but I know have a really thick lower abdomen. Its only the last set of muscles right were my bladder is but it makes me look fat in a way. Should I stop doing lower abs for a while? And how long will it take to loose the muscle i built?
I'm curious because I only do leg raises, and I feel it targets all 8 abs. I never do crunches anymore as there's no need to target upper abs when you can do leg raises inclined bench.
But I'm concerned to see if maybe this is possible if there's a downfall of only doing lower abs exercise.
