As for total numbers from all nations:

Yea it seems so, I think there are 5 or 6 meet hotels. They started splitting up this year a bit more than last year. Like Masters go first and have their own banquet. Then Sub-Juniors and Juniors. And then finally Open is at the end and the final banquet. But the coaches still have to stay for the whole thing which can be difficult. I just bought my plane ticket to stay there for 2 weeks. On 1 hand that sounds awesome but on the other hand it's gonna suck.

Based on what I have learned, you just need to wrap your knees differently

There's absolutely no doubt that you're strong enough to move that weight though and you'll definitely bury it in your meet

I was signed up for a strongman comp on the 18th and was hoping to qualify for nationals in June, but apparently I was the only teen who signed up and they decided to move me into the newcomer division

Yeah I think I'm wrapping it too far up the leg, and that's cutting my depth at least 2-3" high.
But at the meet I'll just wrap it a little different and I don't think depth will be a problem at all.

And if I don't hit depth, its because the judges are blind, my quads are so big they hide the crease, look at this video from 37 feet back from a top angle where its definitely buried.

yeah you're right, but the thing is I'm not strong enough to do any of the implements in the newcomer division and I don't want to waste other competitors times by zeroing on all the events

I thought sleeves were for sleeves only division and wraps were for wraps only division but I guess I don't know anything.

So decided to get coaching from TSA/Hani and first session back yesterday after a week off after meet - and I got my ass kicked.

"Only" 70% of max for 4x8 on squats but a combination of no lifting for a week, a cold, and a headache - plus because 4x8 is cardio essentially - it was VERY hard. Felt like throwing up afterwards. Little scared that the weights rise 5kg every week but hopefully some adaption kicks in and it works out.
