Anyone know if any other big U.S lifters are going to ProRaw in Australia? I know CWS is but I haven't heard of any others. Then the next big meet (outside of IPF) I can think of is the WRPF one in December. Am I missing any other big ones in Aus or in the U.S or anything?

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Aw fuk bye
In regards to wrap type
It really depends on how you wrap them, but the way it was explained to me and how I explain it is this:
Stopping power of the wrap is in regards to how hard and quickly it locks up on the way down. Usually the stiffer and less stretchy the wrap is, the harder it locks up, the more stopping power it is said to have. Can sometimes make it hard to feel depth. Example: Deathrow, Convict Pro, Strangulator, TP5000, Overkill, etc
Rebound is the springiness out of the bottom and the feeling of pop you get. Really depends on how you wrap as well. More material behind the knee will usually give more pop, higher up the legs more stopping power. Usually rubbery, stretchy wraps will have a ton of pop but won't lock up hard on the way down. Example: Metal/Inzer black, Grippers, THP, Titanium, etc
Casting is how rigid and immobilising the wrap is when its cranked down hard. Some wraps you'll still get a bit of bend when cranked maximally, others give an extremely hard cast feel. It is said that cast like wraps give the knee more support but Im not sure if that's really true.
This obviously isnt all inclusive, and most wraps have varying levels of each attribute. In some cases it's also highly subjective.Last edited by 308smk; 08-30-2015 at 08:55 PM.

Coach told me to work up to a heavy single in wraps to gauge where my strength is. My best wraps squat is 550 in a meet, out of a mono with someone wrapping me in 3m Death Rows. I walked out 535 and killed it in 2.5m Strangulators self-wrapped
Dis gun be good

I know we're coming off the heels of the BOB2 meet but this week is IPF Junior worlds. Here's the stream if you want to watch it: http://goodlift.info/live1/onlineside.html
The US junior team is stacked again this year and has a great shot at winning the team title for I believe the third year in a row.
We've got badasses all up and down the roster:
Dalton Lacoe lifts today at 53kg
Tomorrow, James Vang and Charles Okpoko lift in the 145's. Okpoko is an absolute monster and still very young.
Blake Lehew is another very young very strong lifter in the 163's
and of course Ian Bell is looking like he's going to put on an incredible performance.***Georgia Crew***

I'm surprised that nobody told J-Ham that he loses a lot of strength on his woobly walk-outs
I think he should probably drop the weight down to 135 and work on his form, leave the ego at the door

I've already been getting messages from people asking/telling me that his squats looked high from the front and his deadlifts didn't look locked out. Like I'd have a more in-depth opinion just cause I train with him.
So fuking mad at people nit-picking at every little detail just to have something negative to say or else they won't feel relevant. The guy just broke an all time WR with 3 whites on every lift at a legit federation and all you wanna do is tear the guy down. I mean it's pretty easy nowadays to tell if a lift is legit or a gift, just go on social media and read the comments. You don't even need to watch the actual lift. No one else said anything negative so can't some people just let it go and stop being so critical at EVERY SINGLE THING.

Anyone have any experience with hack squat machines?
My gym owner is asking me which one to get and I don't have a lot of experience with them. I'm not sure if there is a difference in functionality like there is with leg presses.Training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

Can't multi-quote because I'm on my phone but
Re: Couch vs. DG...it bugs the phuck out of me that people are asking if DG had an off day or whatever. Yes, Dan had some huge training lifts but I don't think he had enough to beat Hamilton on meet day. Give Hamilton some credit for beating the guy head to head at his own meet and taking his WR.Best total @ 198: 1520 @ 195.4 - 575/360/585

DG cutting 30-40 pounds is just too much obviously, should move up to 242. Going from a 400kg pull to a 350kg pull is a bit much. 20-30kg maybe, but 50?
All of Hamiltons lifts looked clean as fuk, deadlift speed on point.

Meet day is when it counts and Hamilton took it fair and square. Bench and deadlift, deadlift especially, had some left.
Am I the only one who thinks Jesse would destroy this number if he went 220 and learned to use wraps?
And yeah dans days as a 220 are pretty much over unless he stays at 240 or less all the time.1708 total @220 Raw

I believe Dan was a bit beat up going into the meet. I think he also lost weight before the weight cut this time around too. I agree though, his lifting at 242 has always been far more impressive than at 220. He hit 2210 @ 242 - that is HUGE. Also even the wilks points are better at 2210 @ 242 than his 2110 @ 220. Although he did do a 2099 @ 220 with no wraps. I think he would be better off just smashing massive-er weights at 242.
I can see why he wants to keep cutting to 220 though, that is where a lot of other guys compete at, and now he has a record to reclaim there. His no wraps @ 220 should stand for quite some time, but he probably wants to put up something around 2200 @ 220 (I'm guessing).
Yeah deadlift speed was great, but it was his grip that would be the limiting factor, not his pullign power. Looks deceiving but he probably didn't have a ton more in him to hold on to but that is very hard to judge. If he gets his grip stronger I can see him going over 800 for sure.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

This is what I was thinking too and exactly what was recommended by a guy I trust.
I said the same thing about DG when DLT and I were talking about it
I hope people are starting to realize that they can't recover from these ridiculous weight cuts. That Sullivan kid ended up in the hospital because of it over the weekend.Training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

I'll probably be going with my inzer grippers again for knee wraps. I need a new set of wrist wraps as well. What's the difference between inzer true blacks and the iron z? True blacks cost more and only come in 12 inch but it seems inzer put a lot more effort into the description of the iron z to get people to buy those. I'm sure these questions have been answered 100x over but I never read them hehe
