Some recent stuff in my meet prep:
605x2 cheater DL: http://instagram.com/p/0gcksJKPCm/
430 pause bench: http://instagram.com/p/0lXL7NqPKJ/
First four weeks of prep were about conditioning for singles, now moving into more frequency and mimicking meet progression of attempts.
Looking at 530-550 wrapped squat (FML), 440-460 bench (will depend on pause), 640+ DL (will depend on how I conditioned), @198. Can't wait!**TRAINING LOG**

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

All I know is what Erick has told me. Some drug using lifter in California is saying on ******** how he is doing a USAPL meet and is guaranteed not to get tested because he is good friends with the meet director. Erick screenshot the convo and posted it in the USAPL ******** Group but it apparently got deleted pretty quickly. Never heard of the guy but Erick says he is pretty weak for being on stuff and thus it makes no sense to even do a USAPL meet, especially when he goes around letting people know what he is on.

I assume this is the meet I'm doing because it's the only USAPL meet in California for the rest of the year (so far).
I will then assume this person is in my weight class. No basis for it, but I'll just assume it anyway.
Ipso facto I am the true king of nattys at 205.
Edit: just double checked, there's another meet in June now. Kinda sucks it's so close to the one in May not sure if it'd be worth it to do a meet just four weeks later.Meet bests: 450/305/545

used a deadlift bar today didnt notice much difference
also used a comp bench which was nice compared to the slippery benches at my gym
also tried a reverse hyper for the first time which felt very weird on my lower back but after doing a couple sets my lower back felt really good and loose

Guess my dreams of competing at rum are gone.
Sounds like they're trying to sell an "image" of what they feel powerlifting is. No mono/wraps/walkouts ect. Brb we wanna cut cost for having at least 4monos at the venue. Rum blew coks this year anyway (location/live stream/hotel booking/ect)
When a mono is potentially safer for executing the actual movement to be judged "SQUATS". Also the ability to use safety chains/straps (no b.lilly)
La fit expo should be huge the guys who people wanna see in wraps will simply go there. (Assuming they allow wraps have mono). The guys will compete in wraps mostly stay in wraps cuz its what they wanna do.220 Raw w/wraps

Depends. Sometimes it's the ACL, sometimes it's in the back of the knee, sometimes it's in the joint itself, sometimes it's the kneecap or right above/behind the kneecap.
One of these days I'll go see a doc to see how screwed up they really are. I remember one of them when I dislocated it in high school and got an MRI they said I partially tore a bunch of ligaments. I don't remember exactly which ones. I sublexiated the other one playing baseball as a teenager as well, so they're both screwed up.
Luckily now that I'm using wraps, even if it's a little sore after, it goes away by the next day. Using sleeves, I'll be hurting for a few days after (I squatted yesterday, today I'm fine).Best lifts in Compeition 560/350/650 and a 1560 total @ 290lbs

Cool, ya'll should give an update when you have a chance to work it in (if you haven't already).
Always hear this from other people, but had the pleasure of hearing it in real life yesterday at my gym... old ex-lifter telling me he about creatine. The whole nine yards. That you have to cycle creatine, that you feel diabetic coming off, that he bloated 15lb, that it gave him 50lb on his bench. Also that he used some stuff that used to be legal and definitely more effective than creatine, but was a non-respondent.
Also, Stan Efferding interview with Smelly.
Also also, first time I've seen Tate tell this video (versus that story that gets passed around online as his). It doesn't have all of the craziness of the text version, but still pretty epic. It honestly doesn't sound too bad for a few days, but sustaining it for a few weeks or months might be different.

Then just use cross arm grip or straps.
Another option (my favorite) is to take your sets and make it into two. For a goal of 3 sets of 5, I will do 2 sets of 3 separated by 15-30 seconds rest and then take a few minutes and do it again (twice). The rack position is the limiting factor and this allows the upper back to work, but will also train stability and legs rather effectively after a while.
I figured you would have been around long enough to know about that.
You don't always know when it will hinder you. You can set the straps too tight making it hard to get to the bar and wind up out of position to pull. Fairly easy to do.
Bahahaha....that makes me have a deep hearty laugh.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593
