Ransomware. You have NO idea, tons and tons and TONS of people have fallen for this scheme. At my old job, we'd get tons of people coming in to have this resolved. At my new job, same exact thing. People fall for it because they don't know any better, it looks legit, therefore they'll do what they can to try and fix it.

Some of these are getting to rootkit level, where now even if you reboot your comp, it'll still appear on your computer and no matter how much antiviral cleaning you do, it won't go away. The only way is to reformat your hDD.
