    >Road to Men's Physique<

Sup fellas. Had a few logs in here before, starting a new one because I'm ready to step this up a gear and hopefully get somewhere within the fitness industry. I'm currently a sponsored athlete for Paragon Fitness (Tier 4), which is a start at least! Here's some facts about me to start:

    I'm 20 years old (born 1994)
    Been training for 3 years
    Studying Mechanical Engineering at University
Work for a clubbing events company in my spare time
Have been doing Judo for 12 years (2nd Dan black belt)
    5'11 182lbs

At the minute I'm training with Ben Mudge, a Reflex Nutrition and Better Bodies sponsored athlete as well as a UKBFF men's physique competitor. I've learnt a lot from Ben so far and I'm considering competing in men's physique myself at some stage. We are using a Y3T training style which involves a week of low reps (4-6), a week of moderate reps (8-12) and a final week of high reps (15-25).

I look forward to keeping the log up to date and it'll help me to stay consistent. Follow my Instagram to stay updated! @darrentaggart

Finally getting to update this. Started a new cycle of my Y3T split today, although we decided to go with week two (8-12 reps) because my lower back was rekt, didn't want to risk anything by doing heavy rack pulls. We hit back, the session went like this:

Assisted pullups SS Low unilateral cable row
    Dumbbell row SS Dumbbell shrugs
Diverging lat pulldown SS Diverging seated row (targeting upper back)

Four sets of everything. Finished with 50 reps on the lat pulldown using unilateral grips; drop setting when hitting failure and some HIIT incline treadmill sprints.

The session doesnt look like much but it was tough, felt quite fatigued from Judo at the weekend but hopefully feel better for chest tomorrow. Lezgeddit
