Hello, and welcome to my new journal. It's been a while since I've posted and eagerly welcome new and old friends.
I fell out of lifting and exercising in general about 3 years ago and eventually came to the realization that my posting here was almost ironic, and stopped. The biggest barriers to my exercising was an increasing number of medical issues; the most debilitating were the chronic migraines (which last about 4-8 hours a day 5-6 days a week) and ulcers and throat inflammation. Long story short, I figured out I am allergic to chocolate. Anyhow, for the first time in half a decade.... I don't have a headache. I still have a lot of anxiety just anticipating the headaches, but I feel good.
I had my first workout in a long time today. Val (my better half) came home this morning and told me she signed me up and handed me my key card.... So here I am. I guess she only wanted to hear me say I was thinking about joining so many time. I just did what I thought was a light sandbagging workout and now feel like I was beaten. I am just starting with a very basic upper lower split until I figure out what I want to do.
Right now, my only goals are to just have more energy and not feel like sh*t. I'll start posting my numbers shortly and soon as I figure out the formatting again.
Thanks and welcome!

My hope was that I would sandbag for a bit, start low and slowly work back up. It was my intention that I would use light enough weight that I could escape most of the effects of DOMS. I was not successful. Well... as beat up as I feel, I do miss the familiar feel. Today will probably be a rest day. Though I may go in for core work and some light cardio.

No worries Bruh, I have no expectations. Your presence alone is enough to get me through the darkest of nights.
Wednesay
Just went in to f*ck around at the gym. My 19 year old (who is now back living with me) went with me and has decided he wants to lift as well. He's 5'10" and sitting at about 136.
Did come rolling , stretching, just playing with some squats with the bar and light benching to help with easing the DOMS. Will stay home today and head back in for an upper workout tomorrow.Last edited by acrawlingchaos; 11-18-2021 at 01:11 PM.
