Looking leaner but not losing weight

When I diet I usually just keep my cals low.. Around 1400 to 1600 and I don't eat a lot of carbs.

Here lately i've been following my macros, actually eating more food (around 1800 cals), and im staying the same weight but I can tell im looking leaner.

Also, my maintenance is like 2800 but I try to cut on a lower number.

So my question is if the scale is not going down is the looking leaner part in my head and should I worry about what the scale says?

Dont worry about the scale. Worry about how you feel and how you look (conceited, I know). If you truly are going about your diet correctly, then you have nothing to worry about.

Describe "here lately" How long have you been holding on 1800 calories?

If your maintenance is truly 2800, then it's impossible(over a 4 week timeframe) to not lose scale weight on 1800 calories. By definition that is 2 pounds lost per week. The scale can hide that fat loss for a week or two, or three, but over 4 weeks, that would be 8 pounds of fat loss so it would be very hard for water weight to hide that from the scale.

Odds are if the mirror looks better, you are losing fat, it just hasn't shown up on the scale yet.
A diet isn't punishment. A diet is a way to reward your body with the wholesome, nutritious food that it needs. Your body composition is a direct reflection of what you put in your mouth.

No huge drops, but any drops at all? Make sure you are hydrated. It could be water weight or your bowels could be full.
