Thanks man, I probably am not gonna be logging too much during this cut, maybe if I do something worth posting. Otherwise maybe just some weight updates and high-level summaries. Unfortunately none of this log has been too positive so far and I don't feel too good about that.

Down to 242 after the initial loss of water/food weight. So far so good, but cutting when you're at 17-18% is easy. Cutting when you're at 11 or 12% is a lot more painful.
Hit a paused bench press PR last night of 185x5 @9 after 155x5 and 175x5. Then hit a couple more sets of 5 TnG at 185.
Squat and deadlift have been struggling a little but I've been a lot more sore than normal so I think I just have to increase the volume and get those back in the groove. My log:

Hit another paused bench PR today, 165x10. I'm working every lift in sets of 10 this week. Squats will be Thursday, deads on Saturday. I'm benching again Friday as well.
Weight is hovering between 240 and 241, slowing down a bit. Attempting to lose a little under 1% of body weight/week now that water weight loss has mostly leveled off, so roughly 2 pounds. I expect this to slow down a little once I get down under 235. I'm still training for performance so I don't want to take things too fast once I get down to 12-13% or so, but the hope is to get to somewhere in the 10-11% range once all is said and done. I think I'm roughly 16-17% right now.My log:

Well I was having a good workout today.
I did 225x10, 235x10, and 240x8 beltless on squats.
Then I passed out on the 9th rep of squats at 240. Went down into the hole and never came out. Thankfully I was smart and had the safeties set to a proper height, so even though I blacked out and fell over the bar only fell about an inch and a half, and no one save one guy who was watching me lift really noticed. I was only out until I hit the ground.
Was feeling good pushing it until then. Not really sure why that happened, going to chalk it up to the lack of sleep over the course of the week combined with the cut.My log:

I wish lmao it would have looked hysterical I'm sure. Maybe edit in some audio of a lumberjack yelling "TIMBERRRRRRR!" haha
Had a good session today. Did 3 doubles of paused bench at 195 with first set @8-8.5, then 3 triples at 185. Hit some OHP, some pendlays, hammer strength isolat pull ups and then face pulls. Weight is about 239.5 to 240, but I'm seeing progress in the mirror so I should flush down a bit pretty soon.My log:

Little update:
Morning weight this morning was 233.4 pounds, down 16.6 pounds from the start of the cut and roughly 10 pounds of non-water/food weight. Starting to get to the more difficult part of the cut where I'm getting cravings, etc. Strength has plateaued a bit, but still have hit a couple of PR-lites, like beltless squats. My log:

Hi all. Had to take a very reduced lifting schedule for a while to deal with a couple of injuries and so stopped logging. Between that and a really rough first half of the year work-schedule wise, I've been lurking logs but keeping a low profile.
I've been roughly maintaining strength and weight (around 225) for a while now, and things are feeling considerably better. My body isn't used to any sort of volume or frequency so I'm dropping the weight and working up my fitness. Should hopefully be fully on track in 4-6 weeks. Feel free to drop in to say hi and chat, but there still won't be much workout logging for now.My log:

Work is constant but it's a lot. It's been a little better since mid-May than it was the first 4.5 months of the year.
I'm dating a cute girl, have been since January.
Plan is to very slowly bulk, sustainably. Programming, I'm doing an upper/lower. Linear progression for now while I'm getting the fitness back up. Once I am comfortably at old fitness levels I'll start adding in some kind of periodization.
Thanks bud, good to see you still fighting the good fight. My log:

Yup, every time I do dips.
When I went through my crossfit phase the coach said it's fairly normal to feel like that at first, but that the more you do the better it gets. That definitely was the case, that ripping sensation got tonnes better. But it's just whether you agree with putting yourself through that.
I think it's because we're tall.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165717061
