Are they trying to fill a void or are just following what their parents did. Kids are expensive, why not a nice parrot or cat?

Lol at those who think not having kids is selfish...
Fact of the matter is that EVERY parent has kids (if on purpose) for their own reasons and desires; not those of the children they're creating. There are no men like me; there is only me.
Whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent.

Humankind dying out would be nothing but beneficial to our planet and every other species. How selfish can you get that you want to perpetuate the destruction that humankind has brought?
People have kids for selfish reasons. Selfless acts are almost non-existent among the living. Ask any parent why they had kids, and the first two words you will hear is "I wanted".

lol! like what? semisrs
came here to post this.
it's genetic. we're genitically programed to want to reproduce and the feelings we have for our offspring is part of it. the strong emotional attachment parents have for children is an evolutionary adaptation to help ensure the survival of said offspring. it''s like just banging for those of that don't want to burden our lives with a child. we know what can happen when we have intercourse with someone but it's so deeply embeded in our DNA to want to procreate that the desire to reproduce manifests itself in the urge to have sex. so we use things like contraception to prevent that while still satifying that primal urge to mate and reproduce.
from what I've seen on that show on the Discovery channel North America would be over run with boars and kudzu. lolMuscleTech Supporter
