Old gym owners were sick. Was able to deadlift and squat and be loud no problem. Never had a problem
First day of new owners. He bought sk much useless machines and it's crowded as **** in it now. No more triceps push down either. Like wtf.
Today was squats and deadlifts was doing 3x6 of 340. Mid set he comes over and tells Me to stop slamming weights. Like wtf are you serious? It's not like I was just letting it fall to the ground. I kept my hands on the bar at all times. Says I will "break his floor" like wtf. Been doing this since October.
Then he tells me no chalk. So pissed rn t misc.
He told me he's been lifting all his life and he's never slammed weights before. I ****ing lold.
He's overweight. Probably 25+% body fat. All chest, arms and front delts. Looks like a typical meathead who just bench presses and does curls.
Only gym within 2 hours of travel.
Fml. I miss the old owners

lol at him saying i am lifting too heavy, if i can do it 3x6 i dont think its too heavy.
dont want to use straps because then i wouldnt be training my grip at all.
im going to still be trying to sneak chalk in and being discreet about it. as for me "breaking the floor" idek what to do. i want to train for powerlifting. like fuark

bump, gym owner came and talked to me today saying that 6 other people also asked if they could use chalk so hes going to allow it as long as we clean up after ourselves. fuark yes.
and my mom said she was talking to some other guys that go at different times and 4 other people got in trouble for "slamming" the weights.

the first thing i asked at my out of school gym is do you allow deadlifts? and he was like "yep, just don't excessively bang the weight like a meathead and use the bumper plates and you can pull all you want." Even has a bowl of chalk by the squat rack.
OP you need a better suited gym. Powerlifters can't work very effectively in the kind of gym you're at.
