Huge thanks to the PrimaForce and Scivation Team for hooking me up with tubs to create my own preworkout! Also a big thanks to NEBinAK for selecting me!

My apologies for the long delay. I've been out of the state for the past month visiting friends and family.

Here are my goodies!





I decided to mix in some Xtend that was also graciously given to me because I love blue raspberry flavor.



I chose glutaform (glutamine), yohimbine, beta-alanine, citrulline, and caffeine for my preworkout stack mix.

The citrulline would be essential in my preworkout to give me increased blood flow and amino acid delivery to skeletal muscle, which would lead to increased protein synthesis. I'm on a bulk, so the more amino acids I get to my muscles, the better off I'm going to be.

Yohimbine would assist me in keeping fat from forming while I am bulking - so I can make the leanest gains possible.

Beta-Alanine is key to a solid preworkout too. Not only does it give you the pre-workout tingles, it delays fatigue and increases power output. This is a beneficial amino acid that really helps you during your workouts.

Caffeine is a no-brainer. Need that extra little energy boost? No more looking for a cup of coffee, pop one of these PrimaForce tablets and you're good to go!

GlutaForm. Glutamine is something I don't have much experience with, but I've read some good things about it.... So I would like to add this to my preworkout to aid in my recovery as well as muscle formation.

My goals for the new year is to eat at maintenance calories and try to do a slow recomp by burning fat and building muscle

Before today's workout, I just took 1 scoop of each of the supplements - and 1 of the caffeine tablets and 1 yohimbine capsule.

I haven't taken stims since early December, and by the time I got to the gym my face was tingling from the beta-alanine and I could feel an increase in energy from the caffeine and yohimbine. Today was chest day and the weight felt heavy (since I haven't lifted in about 2 weeks due to travel), but I was still able to hit a good variety of exercises including flat barbell bench, incline barbell, decline barbell, cable flies, incline dumbbell flies, and decline dumbbell flies.

Overall, I like the idea of mixing my own pre. I know exactly what is in the shake from the amount of bulk ingredient I put in, and I can also customize the amounts based on my own tolerance.

Tomorrow is my arm day, so I will report back on the pump that I get from the citrulline tomorrow after I blast my bi and tris.

I got a small tub of the blue raz, too. It was very good.

Congrats on starting the log, Giraffe! Good luck with your new pre-workout stack. You better patent that idea before someone else combines all those ingredients into a new super-powered pre-workout supplement and forgets to pay you royalties.

Haha thanks everyone for commenting so far.

As I said before, today was arm day. I took 1 scoop of each of the powders (along with 1 caffeine/1 yohimibine) but decided to add an extra scoop of beta-alanine today (recommended serving size is 2 scoops). I also added an additional half scoop of citrulline to hopefully add to my pump

It once again kicked in quickly on my drive to the gym. I felt way more beta-alanine tingles today than I did yesterday - actually got fairly itchy from them (common side effect for me). Started right out with some triceps pushdowns and by my second set I could feel the citrulline doing its job.

Had a great pump by the end of my workout. I feel like I did lose some size in my arms due to being away from the gym for the better part of a few weeks, but hopefully it'll come back quickly. If only your arms could be the size they are whey they've got a pump all the time right...

I also went back to the gym about 4 hours later to do some cardio. Before I drove to the gym, I took 2 yohimbine capsules to help me burn more fat while I ran.

You're gonna love the blue raz flavor. I'd have to say its my favorite flavor out of any flavor that I've tried

And as for ALCAR, I'll have to look more into it in the future. Definitely interested in it, just figured I would stick to the basics for this stack

It can actually end up cheaper then ready made pre's in the long run, just takes a bigger initial investment

I agree - mixing my own pre was something that I've wanted to do for a long time for multiple reasons, but it is just easier to pay $30 up front for a whole tub right away...

I trust the pre more because I know that I'm only getting what I put into it - not a bunch of chemicals that I don't know/understand

I understand where you're coming from.

I started out that way and now I'm a scientist for 1 min a day when I mix all my stuff together

Been doing good! I think I really hit the sweet spot with 2 scoops citrulline, 1 scoop glutamine, 2 scoops beta alanine, 2 yohimbine, and 1 caffeine tab, and a scoop of the Xtend. Xtend is running out though so I'm gonna see what these plain powders taste like soon!

This stuff really kicks my butt and gets me going in the gym, it's awesome!

Did chest today and busted out 225 x 8, 235 x 8, 245 x 8 (which I'm happy with after the past month) and then did 185 x 8, 195 x 8, 205 x 6 on decline which is a PR for me

Also pumped out 35s on each side for chest flies

Push downs went well too, was doing 80 for 4 sets of 10 with 3 different variations of push downs and then I did seated triceps raises with a 75 pound dumbbell

It was a little bitter for my liking.. Gonna have to pick up something else to add to it to add some flavor. Wasn't THAT bad, but I prefer a sweeter pre compared to bitter. Almost lemony taste to it. Not really complaining though since I get to mix my own pre and this is going to last me a long time!

Squirt or two of mio works great or you can get cheap powdered flavor packs of like off brand crystal light, that works good too. Citrulline isnt a taste I enjoy.
