Fuark mirin join dates ITT
Remember when I first joined the misc back in high school. Can't even remember what it was like back then but I know there weren't as many threads about FA's, bee bees, and sloots slooting haha

I've actually found The Misc to be a great group of people (mostly). I can honestly say that I met my two best IRL friends on this site.
I've also traded with/sent stuff to lots of other miscers, and always found you guys to be extremely honest and fair.
If I could change one thing, I'd be more lenienet with the MS Paint threads. I understand not wanting pron on here, but I don't think a poorly drawn, stick figure wiener ever offended anyone.
Edit: On recharge, but will return to give my poverty reps to the OG's ITT.*MFCi*

IMO, the core of the MISC remains. I know a bunch of you in real life and thru FB , and I know most are successful people that look good, lift and pull girls. Most of the good/epic threads are/were created by us but yeah it sucks that nowadays everything seems to be about
- racism
- how to chat on Tinder
- how all women suck
- being a forever alone
- Jason genova/chestbrah/seid/etc
the thread topics back in the day were definitely better, informative and more helpful .
This is what we need to change and the more recent members arent really helping us

This is the time we live in though, pretty much anywhere you interact on the internet will share these elements to a degree and a lot has to do with people who've grown up their whole lives with widespread internet/social media use and anonymity brought about through these channels. The larger your user base, the greater the chances.

A lot of it just has to do with the massive number of people on the site. I get it from the company's point of view wanting the traffic, but it's pretty insane that when I post in a thread, by the time I refresh my browser it's pretty much bumped onto the the third page.

In.
Times have changed.
Best misc memory was when they posted a link to a gaming website called lost power and we completely ruined it due to hacking and leveling by fellow miscers........

This is a fact. There are so many keyboard warriors who will post things here that they would never say to someone's face. I try to be respectful and real, but it can be hard. I'm old though, so I was raised in a time where you generally knew who you were communicating with.
I agree. I try to be helpful and respectful. It's not easy at times.Jesus is my lifting partner.

Not an OG (was a lurker for a year or two before I joined though), but still a relatively young guy and I can sympathize with older brahs and OG joiners with how the quality of current posts is a severe deterrent to wanting to stay active on the forum.
Any regular guy (even non-lifter/non-athletes) can pull a girl if they aren't completely stunted by social awkwardness, the influx of tinder and woman-hating on the forum is unnecessary. Wish threads and people could care less about that stuff these days.-- Forever Bulking --

Joined the Misc when I was 14... Im 20 now and although the Misc has a plethora of ****ty threads nowadays, it helped me in my confidence, self improvement and not putting sloots on pedestals from a young age. I was a mile in front of the rest in terms of my self awareness and I learned not to WK in high school.
Good times, never got to say thanks but all the threads from the older guys about life advice really helped me and I take them to heart.
And of course... let's not forget Miscimus, the MISC beetle & hero."No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training... what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates

Everything is cyclical. I see familiar faces here every time I log in; we were some of the first here and the community is strong enough that we will be the last out. Though, "out" used lightly as I have little to no intention of ever leaving. I get all the news here before it's released mainstream. I get tips and advice on obscure things from actual people that I know. There are threads here that are genuinely the #1 resource of compiled data and first-hand experiences in all of the Internets (see: Las Vegas Thread). The heart of this forum remains good, and the base community remains intact. I won't outgrow this place because it's dynamic; there is nothing to outgrow, simply more to grow into.

Found this site when I was 14. Joined when I was 15....
I'm about to cry thinking about the years that have passed. The things that have transpired as far as life. I love this place. Remember seeing the rise and fall of Zyzz...Like, I saw it as it was happening before my very eyes.Life is but a dream. Wake me when its over.

ForumSentinel summed it up nicely: with greater exposure comes a larger capture of the Internet, which has turned out to be pretty ugly. But even this generation of virgins will eventually get laid, and marry, and go on to have kids, and might actually contribute to the forum if given enough time to ripen.
